Could Biden be playing 4d chess here? Maybe Biden banned pistol braces knowing that it would put the resulting SBR's into "common use"?
Perhaps Biden's plan this whole time was to bring a case to the supreme court to make SBR's legal again

Brilliant move by Trump honestly. He knew that Biden would have to take some kind of action to further his gun control policy, and by pre-emptively banning bump stocks, he removed that as an option of what Biden could do. This caused Biden to make a forced error by banning pistol braces which has the side effect of putting SBRs into the courts definition of "common use".
I got to hand it to Trump, it should be obvious to everyone by now that every single of these moves and countermoves were carefully planned and orchestrated by Trump's careful maneuvering, eventually leading to a supreme court decision that will repeal the NFA, which will lead to the ATF being defunded and ultimately disbanded.
Nothing short of genius.

Trump had the ATF do something it is not allowed to do knowing it would be struck down, Biden and the left couldn't help themselves from taking that farther in a way that makes it even harder to defend and opens up even more federal laws and regulations to being overturned.
