Beautiful? Absolutely. But the thing that strikes me the most as I watch this is that they all look so very young. I was too back then. I feel old.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

The blonde surfer girl was popular back then. You had the Britt Eckland type in Hollywood, imported from Sweden. Today’s equivalent would be Margot Robbie, also an import (from Australia).
In the same towns and cities where those girls lived that went to that Skynyrd show, that look is now very rare. A High School there would probably only have a few blonde white girls today. The vast majority of people in that area now are Asian (including Indian) or Hispanic. The look is dramatically different now. Almost a total replacement...

That Oakland concert was a classic. Summer of 77 was a comeback tour in a sense.
