Trump to make official announcement Tuesday 9pm

Wants a national audience. Probably a national emergency declaration and remarkably following the REX 84 script.

They have never yet and they never will have the sense to reflect that this hobby-horse is a manifest violation of the most important law of nature, which has established from the very creation of the world one unit unlike another and precisely for the purpose of instituting individuality."- A Quote From Some Old Book

Expect lots of fear inducing rhetoric. Be berry afwaid! Drugs! Killers! Rapists! Terrorists! National Emergency!

He said he would not leave the White House during the government shutdown. He flew to Iraq over Christmas (after Fox criticized him about not ever visiting soldiers overseas like other presidents did) and is now going to fly to the border to plea for more taxpayer money. (speech Tuesday- border visit Thursday).

It is going to be a big and beautiful concrete border wall along the entire 2000 mile border! Give me $20 billion!

Please give me $5 billion for my wall! It will be steel spikes now! Three stories high! And 500 miles long (including upgrading existing wall).

No, it will still be concrete. And steel!! And I will take whatever you want to give me!!

Mexico will pay for the wall!

NAFTA will pay for the wall!

We have the funds for the wall and have already built hundreds of miles! Just signed a contract for another 200 miles!

The shutdown funds will pay for the wall!

You need to pay for the wall! I will hold my breath until my face turns blue if you don't!

I can relate to you people who aren't getting paid due to the shutdown.

If the shutdown continues, various services will be affected which could lead to civil unrest. I read earlier that EBT/SNAP would shut off at the end of the month, for example. Dunno if that's accurate since it's hard to find info on what exactly is currently being affected by the shutdown and what may be operational now but won't be later.

They had passed $3 billion in emergency funding for food stamps. Expected to last until sometime next month.

The partial government shutdown could soon impact the millions of Americans who rely on the nation's food stamp program.

The program is run by the US Department of Agriculture, which is one of the agencies that has been unfunded during the shutdown.

Congress recently issued $3 billion of emergency funds for the program.

However experts say the funding could run out sometime next month.
Food stamps are part of the Department of Agriculture which I thought was fully funded by the Farm Bill so I am surprised to hear they may run out of funds if the shutdown continues.

Probably would announce that Steel is stronger than Concrete and try to stop bleeding of base support / reach out to Right supporters like Coulter, Bannon, Rush and their millions of followers. Just a guess.

But what happened to MAGA's followers?

This is bit troubling, top responses below his tweet:

Just bit surprised to see the dominant sentiment there, had expecdted to see much more DTS / MAGA crowd applauding this historic milestone annoucement on the heels of another histotic anti-globalist Syria withdrawl annoucement past week.
Democracy can be messy but these replies to a sitting MAGA that he might end up reading are out of control.

Good. He's getting out ahead of this in his usual 'drunken monkey' style. I've read that the networks were considering not carrying his address. Can you imagine that? It would be the first time that the networks censored a sitting president. Not only this, but he took away leverage by detractors by issuing orders to the I.R.S. to process refunds.

The left and the right in politicks don't know what to do with him. He's not allowing them to just kick the can down the road anymore like they have through ever other administration.

Much like his sudden announcement to pull troops. He let the Pentagon talk him into adding troops because they said it would lead to a withdrawal. He gave them two years. Now he is forcing the issue, creating discussion.

Hope he gives a hell of an address tonight, 2020 depends on it.

Ya , as much as I would like to see the Dept of Ag shutdown forever it is hard to believe the money is not there . Shutting it down now to never reopen until the next dem is elected is an outstanding idea though . It would make Trump remembered forever .

The Latest: Democrats seek equal airtime after Trump speech

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/latest-tr...-politics.html

Of course they do. They will have to make the case that illegal immigration is not a problem and that the can needs to be kicked down the road all the while granting citizen status to those already here.

Twitter's algorithim does that. You won't see positive stuff, just bitter angry dissent.

In 2014, they decided not to air Obama's immigration policy speech. https://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...r-obama-speech

Corporate Media is completely hysterical. Don't listen to Trump they say. They can't even afford to conduct a healthy dialogue at this point, since their arguments are so flimsy.

Would you like to be replaced and demographically wiped out with your own money? YES PLEASE!

That's the poison that the democrats and corporate media are selling under the guise of humanitarianism.

I wouldn't go this far, but things would have been better. A Deep State backed Congress would have gradually choked out a President PBJ as well.
