    Kid tells Ted Cruz "you suck", Cruz recommends spanking

    Cruz has a point in his response about the boys behavior but then blows it in promoting the kid should be spanked at a time another study came out in last weeks news cycle about the long term effects of spanking.

    Researchers looked at 50 years of data from 75 different studies involving more than 160,000 children and determined that spanking children actually makes them more likely to act up again.

    Those kids also tend to struggle with anti-social behavior, mental health issues and determining right from wrong later in life. Study author Elizabeth Gershoff said those effects were similar to those in children who suffered physical abuse.

    His follow up about Donald Trump makes me feel like it was a plant. Hate Trump, hate Cruz, just saying. Seems contrived.

    My friend who likes Trump told me all about how pro spanking he was and how that study was wrong when we were talking about it last week. Ted Cruz doesn't say $#@! like this for nothing.
    Rand Paul: Should we provide care and shelter to immigrants at the border or should we be paying for clown shows and a traveling circus?

    I'm pro-spanking but dead set against anybody else telling me when to spank my own kid...

    Spanking isn't the issue for me, it's some idiot in a suit thinking it's okay for them to tell anybody how to treat their child.......

    Basically i was discussing a recent study about spanking with the only person I know in real life who supports Trump.

    Cruz has been done for a while now, this reeks of a desperate attempt to try and cater to idiots. I'm a pro-spanker when it is called for, and I'd probably get medieval on my own kid if he pulled something like this, but Cruz did not make himself look good here. Selecting a running mate while on the verge of losing was idiotic, but this is a whole new level.

    I thought this was interesting, I was researching into this so called authoritarian test. There seems to be a lot of contention about the methodology. First there was an F test, then an RWA scale. The one they referenced about child rearing values seems like its answered most honestly
