    * See my visitor message area for caveats related to my posting history here.
    * Also, I have effectively retired from all social media including posting here and are basically opting out of anything to do with national politics or this country on federal or state level and rather focusing locally. I may stop by from time to time to discuss philosophy on a general level related to Libertarian schools of thought and application in the real world.

Yep, we were ahead of the curve. But Glenn wouldn't listen to us either. He thought we were "terrorists."

That said, I don't really get his analogy. The same people who really listened to Dr. Paul would run far away from Donald Trump.

Trump supporters have been polled as the highest pct group with fidelity towards the 2nd amendment. So yes, Glenn you are right. The social conservative and establishment voters don't care as much for the 2nd.

Then they must not be aware that Trump wrote in his book that he supports a ban on semi automatic weapons.

HE didn't listen to the Ron Paul people. He is guilty, and I hope him more culpable than the establishment because he could have easily shifted millions of people into Ron Paul's corner.

You've made your bed, Beck. Now have fun sleeping in it, you piece of lowlife $#@!.

Did you notice I emphathized the word "really" listened (to Dr. Paul)? I'm not sure everyone who voted for Ron, or who claims to have supported him, did. Some think the definition of "liberty" is dynamic and fluid. I can't speak for these crazy voters in my state. In over 10 years they've only done the right thing that one time...when Ron won our primary 4 years ago.

Listen starting at 1 minute. Ron Paul hit job.

    That piece of #$%&ing @%$&!!!

I'm usually not a violent man, but if I had been in the same room when he uttered that, it would have taken every ounce of self-restraint to keep myself from strangling him. I have 8 years of pent up rage from the "Mayor of Crazytown" type comments.

I don't know who said it on this forum years ago, but he said, "Beck is a friend when you don't need him and a knife in the back when you do." That is still a great summation.

    I have a love/hate relationship with Beck.

On one hand, he is directly responsible for pushing me to take my first steps off of the Party Platform path...

On the other hand, he inhibited me from discovering Ron, except to consider him a "kook".

But luckily, as Ron stated: "
“Speak up, speak often and don’t worry about those that at this point cannot understand as they can never un-hear what we tell them.”

    I hate Glenn Beck.

"I am convinced that there are more threats to American liberty within the 10 mile radius of my office on Capitol Hill than there are on the rest of the globe." -- Ron Paul

Beck believes his own ideology, he is terrified of Trump as many are, Trump won't be an Obama, he is either going to bring America up or send it into the gutter, it won't be the same old, same old neutral we have seen for years. Many people are willing to roll the dice on a national populist, out of anger, and you better believe many of us want revenge on the GOP establishment hierarchy for what they did to Ron in 2012. People's thinking is all over the place this election, people keep saying "Never", wait until the general, never say never

He is right about the Ron Paul people, but he was one of them not listening, so he can blame himself too, for Trumps rise.

I disagree. If this were true, Rand Paul would be the front runner instead of the current clowns. The two "anti-establishment" candidates are a reality TV clown who wants to execute a whistle blower and a freaking commie who is sold to us as a "democratic socialist."

Man, if I wasn't married and raising kids, I'd live off the land deep in the Alaskan wilderness as a hermit. I can't take society anymore.

The problem is Beck hates Ron Paul. Beck attacked him over and over again. It's like he is a bi polar schizophrenic !

I have to disagree. It will be the same old, same old. Only with the usual, slightly different talking points that each new administration brings.

He used to. But he did a 180 this year. Now he supports Trump.

He even trashed Rand's endorsement of Romney as an excuse for it.

    You did say "Ron" Paul...right?

    Yeah?

AJ's the same thing as Beck, just in reverse. Beck went from anti-Ron to anti-Trump (as in the OP of this thread). And AJ went from pro-Ron to pro-Trump.

you didn't listen to us either glenn. $#@! off.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual. - Thomas Jefferson
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

? I haven't heard that. He has always like Rand's policies. Rand dropped out. He now is supporting Trump, but he does say he doesn't know if Trump can be trusted.
