The biggest shame of the Mainstream Media is a guilt of omission.
The best example of 'spiked stories' the Mainstream Media (and all it's pretenders) failed' to report on--for months!--is the Awan brothers story[1][2][3][4]. The longstanding, Daily Caller News Foundations' Luke Rosiak's story about a Pakistani Spy Ring connected to Debbie Wasserman Shultz[5][6], 31 House Democrats[7], Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner, Hillary Clinton, Wikileaks, FusionGPS[8], Ukraine[9][10], and over a dozen MURDERS[77], including several at Wikileaks and Seth Rich at the DNC[11].
Instead, the Media (including the journos listed in Alex Howard above) had chosen to report on Donald Jr.'s Veselnitskaya Nothingburger[12], Trump's NON-connection-to-Russia Nothingburger[13], and have 100% failed to inform the public of what is actual, materially factual, and evidentiary in a provable criminal conspiracy[14].

This Media-collusion-omission is not simply carelessness, it's willful omission, a suppression of the news (and facts) that they don't like politically, because you don't care about the truth--you only care about scoring cheap political points. Prosecution of Murder should not be Political

They dismiss them as 'right wing conspiracy theories', when in fact, people are actually really deceased. I don't know at what point a conspiracy theory becomes history, but certainly it must be at least a few years. After all, the media lied about 'satanic panic' and used satanism to cover up a string of intelligence-related murders in the 80s by associating it with pizzagate erm satanism...(the 80s pizzagate). I just have to wonder if there will always be a certain high percentage of citizens in a population that are that susceptible to television/media-based mind control and what we can do about that? I'll table that discussion.

Congressional leaders have now requested a formal briefing by Capitol Police

Alvi Awan was suspected of helping swindle $283,000 from banks

when the FBI caught up with her at Dulles International Airport in March.
But incredibly Hina Alvi Awan — the wife of Imran Awan,
the IT specialist and con man employed by Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who was arrested last week for bank fraud —
was never detained or forced to stay in the United States.
Her arrest in fact was blocked by then-FBI Director James Comey and then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, FBI sources said.
So federal agents and Capitol Police watched as the former Democratic congressional aide
and suspected bank fraudster stepped onto Qatar Air1ines Flight 708 to Doha, Qatar,
on her way to Lahore, Pakistan with her three daughters,
bulging luggage and $12,400 in undocumented cash — a federal crime in itself.
Awan had essentially been given a license to disappear from the clutches of US law enforcement,
never likely to return to the United States.
She was in the wind, courtesy of the FBI.
“This was a call from the top, Comey and McCabe,” a well-placed FBI agent said.
“Anyone else would have been held and with that cash she didn’t declare she could have been locked up.
The agents at Dulles wanted to hold her but they were told to stand down.”
Comey has since been fired and McCabe currently is Acting FBI Director until the new FBI director is sworn in.
The lead FBI case agent at Dulles was Brandon Merriman
who has been on the job for a little more than a year and was investigating Imran and Alvi Awan’s bank schemes.
FBI sources said he did not have the political juice to plead for Awan’s arrest and as an agent,
there is little he could have done to keep Awan in the states
since his bosses decided to put her in the wind.
Merriman also put together the arrest warrant for Imran Awan in July.

where the FBI agent acknowledged he knew that when Alvi Awan stepped onto that flight
she would never return to the United States.
So why then did the FBI put her in the wind?
If the FBI wanted to explore and build a criminal case against Wasserman Schultz, the former DNC chairwoman and Clinton consigliere,
and
even firm up the case against Imran Awan,
holding leverage over Alvi and Imran Awan would make more than good sense.
So
the release of Alvi back to Pakistan — essentially a US law enforcement no-go zone —
speaks volumes about the FBI brass
wanting to protect Wasserman Schultz
and essentially her long-time mentor Hillary Clinton.
“When you have a guy’s wife locked up and you’re looking at the husband, you have leverage to get him to cooperate,” a FBI insider said.
“This is really great leverage and it wasn’t even put into play.”
If this was simply a bank fraud case, (Hina Alvi) Alvi Awan would still be in the United States
and her husband would have been locked up long before July.
FBI sources said they had sufficient evidence of bank fraud in December 2016 yet no arrest warrants were filed until July.
There is little doubt the Awans were being protected by FBI bosses, federal law enforcement sources said.
For instance,
it is a felony to export more than $10,000 from the United States absent filing a currency transportation report.
FBI sources said Alvi Awan did not file the report.
Yet she was allowed to leave the country anyway.
And with the cash and the FBI’s explicit knowledge she defrauded at least two financial institutions.
As a sidebar, Alvi Awan would also have served as a key witness
in the emerging case building against
Wasserman Schultz,
the DNC,
and what role Hillary Clinton played
into the emerging labyrinth of Awan-related security breaches.

The program was created in 2008 as a means of recruiting troops with special skills in short supply,

Ron DeSantis seeks fed probe of fired Wasserman Schultz staffer
U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis has asked the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate the former information technology worker fired by U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
In a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Desantis asks for an investigation into the financial records of Imran Awan and his wife Hina Alvi to search for other potential crimes or suspicious activity.
"While we can never tolerate breaches of the public trust, the wire transfer to Pakistan is particularly alarming as Pakistan is home to numerous terrorist organizations," he wrote.
The criminal complaint charging Awan for bank fraud makes no mention of terrorism.
The federal complaint states that Awan and Alvi raudulently obtained a $165,000 home loan from a credit union. Alvi submitted paperwork in January to wire $283,000 to Pakistan including the money from the loan. When a representative from the credit union called Alvi, a male answering the phone initially said the money was for "funeral arrangements" but later said it was to purchase property.
Awan was arrested at Dulles International Airport headed to Pakistan July 24. His wife flew to Pakistan in March.
DeSantis, a Republican from Ponte Vedra Beach, serves on the judiciary committee.

Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz pressured officials at Congressional Federal Credit Union
to write a loan to a husband and wife from Pakistan now charged and accused of bank fraud,
according to federal law enforcement sources.
Wasserman Schultz, who was the leader of the Democratic National Committee at the time,
intervened in the loan process to help guarantee Imran Awan and wife Hina Alvi
a $165,000 loan which the couple quickly wired to Pakistan.
Congressional Federal Credit Union officials were hesitant to write the couple the loan
because underwriters flagged portions of the Awan’s application as problematic and risk loaded.
That
was until Wasserman Schultz is believed to have made overtures to the federally-backed credit union
to vouch for Awan and his spouse.
FBI sources said the home equity credit line was approved despite the red flags,
namely:
The Awans rented the home linked to the loan application,
but the FBI said the bank does not extend home equity lines to rental properties.
The Awans never told the bank it was a rental property.
FBI sources would not confirm whether Wasserman Schultz
wrote letters or emails to bank hierarchy or made telephone calls
to push for the loan.
Likewise, FBI sources did not confirm whether Wasserman Schultz was the target of a parallel FBI investigation.
Loan officers and underwriters made several inquiries to the Awans during the loan application process
to try to clear up glaring discrepancies.
Emails sent by Awan and his wife to the credit union’s underwriters
originated from an IP address linked to Wasserman Schultz’s congressional offices.
Awan and his wife, as well as his two brothers
are also targets of an investigation into an alleged procurement scam
where the group is suspected of stealing equipment, Blackberry phones, and hacking House IT systems without permission.
Wasserman Schultz could not be reached for comment.

I'm with you 100%. There was evidence out there on all of this many months ago. The wheels of justice are excruciatingly slow and/or non-existent when it comes to high level D.C. elites. DWS should go down based on everything out there, but we have been there and done that before with so many others and nothing to show for it. Will the DNC try to cut this off at the low level IT guy, or let it infect its way up to DWS or higher? It seems they typically choose fighting charges through a rigged judicial system and corrupt judges instead of ever admitting guilt. That could cost them as this slowly escalates.

In the case Awan bros' step-mom brought to court, she had said the Awans were Dons (she uses an urdu word) and treated with police protection in Pakistan. That was enough back in May to convince me there was a conspiracy; the stepmother just wanted her dead husband's measly policy, the Awans weren't news yet.
I hope George doesn't become the second Webb suicided.

From what little have read above, this does not look good for DWS aka "Obama's other First Lady". Other Congress members fired the guy once this came public and she still kept him on payroll with access to sensitive information?
If media did its job and scrutinized as they do in case of some folks on the other side of political spectrum, her role would have not been so obscured still as it seems to be. But such attitude towards protecting sensitive information might not be a new thing for her. Wesserman was one of the go betweens Israeli groups and Obama and played a role in the release of infamous Israeli spy Jonathon Pollard who had stolen tons of US military secrets that were supplied to Russia by Israel later. Very little to no media scrutiny then as seems to be the case now. DeSantis ironically is also an Israeli firster but in this case at least he is doing something useful.
