I'm sorry. Call me a "hawk" but the so called "one-China policy" is BS and always has been. Taiwan (actually Formosa) was NEVER a part of China. It's no more a part of China than Japan is a part of China. When Mao kicked Chiang Kai Shek's butt, Chiang and his army fled to Formosa, took it over, brutalized the native Formosans and renamed the island "Taiwan." If the people who consider themselves "ethnic Chinese" want to go back to the mainland, they should be allowed to do so. But China shouldn't take Taiwan just because Chiang took it first. That said....none of my business. Japan and the other countries in the region need to step up their own military spending to counter balance China.

I think Pelosi should go to Taiwan too.

Trump was right to call Taiwan by its name. There should be no restriction on her traveling to Taiwan. They are a free country and make a lot of the components that go into cars. She has every right to be there. This is an unreasonable request from China and it should not be heeded.
