PSA: Attention last minute Thanksgiving shoppers.

This time of year is extremely busy. Please be mindful of other shoppers who might not appreciate you taking 5 minutes to decide what kind of milk you would like to put in your cart while blocking others, who already know what they want. Thank you very much and Happy Thanksgiving.

Let's see. There is cow's milk. Fat free. One percent. Reduced fat. Whole milk. Organic. Grass fed. Goats milk. Soy milk. Almond milk. Cashew milk. Coconut milk. Almond cashew. Almond coconut. Pea milk (yes, pea protein beverage- "can I have a glass of pea, please?). That Coca Cola milk (they make Fair Life- which is milk filtered taking out some things and then adding in more other stuff). Then for all of those you get sweetened or unsweetened. Vanilla, chocolate, or plain. It isn't as simple to pick out milk as it used to be.

Are you sure about that? At the first "thanksgiving", probably. But the first dairy cows came to Plymouth just a few years after the officially recognized first thanksgiving. And the Spanish had already introduced cattle to the Americas nearly 100 years earlier and it is argued they had the equivalent of thanksgivings if not officially recognized a long time before Plymouth.

I couldn't help but notice that the organic non GMO unsweetened almond milk was on the very bottom shelf and I got the last carton while all the other shelves of milk were almost full. They tried to hide it and it still was sold out thanks to me.

I've never seen milk come out of an almond.

Where do you put your hands when milking an almond?
Or do you milk the tree?

Yep. Not just cows, but also goats by 1623, so the Pilgrims and Indians would have had two choices already.

Good point, but actually could be 3. Horses had also already been introduced to the Americas and some might have made like the monguls and consumed their milk. it was an option anyways.

Huh. Hadn't considered the horse milk angle.

Interestingly, horses were actually re-introduced to America by the Europeans. The horse family is believed to have originated in the Americas, and then migrated to other parts of the world over land bridges. About 8,000 years ago, the last North American horses died out.

Sorry, it takes me awhile to decide if I want titty milk or nut juice.
