As noted here...
I was interested in any questions site members would have for Rand Paul as I was going to be able to ask him a question or two. At this point, the mission has been accomplished. I appreciated all of the questions, it certainly would have been great to get to ask a lot but I was more than pleased with the outcome. Here's the run-down...
Good question, I couldn't quite get this question in but he did talk some about the SCOTUS and the general take is to do it right.
I was able to ask what is the best way to improved monetary policy, he said there is little appetite for change but thinks an audit the fed is a great first step. An audit should be a much easier sell since we're not changing anything and there shouldn't be any harm in trying to understand what the fed is actually doing.
To the first point, I wasn't able to ask but Rand has a very consistent and even-tempered demeanor which allows him to manage situations.
I did bring up the site but didn't ask about visiting. We may have to get some aids or a Paul family member to get those tapes. lol.
He did talk about his meetings with Trump. Rand's well tempered demeanor has allowed him to provide his view / input to Trump, who respects him. Apparently they meet periodically.
This would be good to know but he certainly wouldn't tip anything not already known.
Good point, he was thanked several times, I was unable to offer the same due to time, unfortunately. There is obviously a danger.
Good question but I wasn't able to ask it as the philosophical nature would have needed a lot of time. He did however talk about the difficultly of advancing our message since we are selling an intangible concept that has delayed benefits.
I thought this was a very practical question and I was able to ask it. A few points on his response:
- E-mail reps on hot issues, they will receive statistics (90% are in favor...)
- Find the best pro-liberty candidates in primaries and pile up support.
- Join a group and get involved.
[Side note: Pretty simple and sound, IMO. Also... http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forumdi...ign-Evaluation ]
This is a really good question, and also action based practical. I was able to ask the part on allies and also picked up some views from other statements. Here's what I got: Massie and Amash, obvious. Mike Lee was high on list. Ted Cruz can be good, it's helpful when he is leaned on. He gave praise to the Republican Liberty Caucus.

Thanks again to everyone who asked questions, sorry I wasn't able to get more. Hopefully we can do something like this again soon.
