Because Trump is full of it about half the time.... for instance, when he sent missiles in to Syria illegally a few weeks ago.

    A few things

1- being Senator pays less than being a doc so less disposable income

2- Rand used to have his sons mowing the lawn but 2 out of 3 of them are away at college, or wherever 111

3- Rand is cheap ha ha ha

4- as mentioned, Rand kind of enjoys it. I know rich people on 60 acres where the wife will mow like 2 or 3 acres for fun and then pay to have the rest done with a tractor.

Think of it like the emperor with no clothes on, Rand could yell hey everybody that guy isn't wearing clothes, and then the emperor will tell the people yes I am, and some of the people in the crowd that are die hard loyal to the emperor will say of course you are, and a majority in the crowd will agree because of herd mentality. A small minority will say wait a minute these people are blind.

Rand instead chooses to stay on the good graces of the angry mob, while advancing the ideas he wants to advance by using the angry mob as a vehicle, because in the end this is an information war. If enough people wake up and say that the emperor is naked then Rand has done his job, but that is a long term battle. People don't like to admit when they are wrong especially when its their heroes.

After meetings with Trump/Pompeo, Rand believes we are pulling out of Afghanistan and that people will be surprised by Trump's foreign policy. Total RPF freak out and part of the forum turns on Rand.

It is not Rand that has the credibility problem, it is some of the clowns in this forum with their daily doom and conspiracy freak outs.
I hope it will become true that Trump pulls put of Afghanistan and even Syria. But he has not been non-interventionist so far as proven by his decision to keep troops in Afghanistan and bomb Syria as well as drone strikes elsewhere.

Maybe Rand will have a big influence on Trump and Pompeo in the future to bring our troops home and stand by a non-interventionist policy.

Allegedly Rand talked to Pompeo and he agreed with those terms, or some set of similar terms that Rand found highly advantageous if he follows through.

What is Rand supposed to do? Just say, "oh you're lying..", or should he stick with what he said he would do? Has Pompeo been dishonest with Rand in the past? Is there any reason he shouldn't trust his word? Clearly they have had policy disagreements in the past.
Exactly. If after all that and Rand votes no then why bring it up in the first place? Why ask something of someone then say "it doesn't matter how you answer".
