Time for a new cereal company to rise up. Advertise on breitbart, take down Kellogs marketshare. Great business opportunity.

Assuming that they will copy Kellogg's products, they can start by releasing White Flakes. All multi-grain products will be purged. A wall will be built to keep Honey Smacks and Fruit Loops out.

"multi-grain" is a code word for wheat genocide
“I don’t think that there will be any curtailing of Donald Trump as president,” he said. "He controls the media, he controls the sentiment [and] he controls everybody. He’s the one who will resort to executive orders more so than [President] Obama ever used them." - Ron Paul

Well, it could have more to do with the culture the grain grew up in.

I guess they realized they were missing the 5-10 y.o. target with that campaign. Scooby Doo, Pokemon, and Breitbart? Is this a politically driven action or the demise of a failed ad campaign?

Kelloggs does not partake in "box tops for education", so we tend not to purchase their products anyway. For that matter, I dont spend much time on Breitbart, and I seldom spend any time getting my news from CNN... Lastly, I dont have a twitter account, and would have never seen the tweet had it not been posted here.

In short, my participation in this thread marks a minute of wasted life that I hope to have forgotten about, by the time I'm on my deathbed.

Kellogg's image is at risk? What about their reality?

John Harvey Kellogg was, to put it simply, a whack-job. Way out of balance. Freaked out. A bloody lunatic. But he wasn't just nuts, he was nasty. Kellogg was a prime example of the anti-pleasure crusader. Kellogg's life was dedicated to the abolition of sexual pleasure.

In an intellectual feat of surpassing audacity, he declared that sex -- even between married couples -- was "against nature," and should be avoided at all costs. (That such a view of nature could be taken seriously just a hundred years ago is a mystery for another day.) In his own marriage of over four decades, he and his wife proudly claimed never to have had sex together.

Kellogg believed that the pleasure of eating flavorful food led directly to the great evil of masturbation, so he created the blandest foods he could: corn flakes. If the tasteless breakfast cereals didn't cure you of the horrid onanistic habit, he was happy to take more drastic measures, such as circumcision, without anesthetic, "as the brief pain attending the operation will have a salutary effect upon the mind, especially if it be
    Source:

connected with the idea of punishment…."

He also encouraged enclosing the penis in a metal band with sharpened spikes pointing in to render excruciatingly painful even involuntary night erections (which happen for nearly all sleeping boys) or sewing the foreskin closed over the head of the penis.

For girls who were caught touching themselves in ways this monster found offensive, he recommended the application of carbolic acid directly to the clitoris.

In addition to his crusades against sexual pleasure, Kellogg was an outspoken supporter of racial segregation, forming the Race Betterment Foundation in 1906. He felt that blacks and immigrants would contaminate the superior gene pool of white America.

The Kellogg Company, in other words, was founded by an American Taliban. Kellogg was a cruel and ignorant racist advocate of child-abuse with an insane aversion to anyone anywhere having any sexual pleasure (unless they got it from daily yogurt enemas, as he apparently did).

This is the company that is dropping Michael Phelps for doing a bong hit! Hardly surprising, in light of their history.

    Masturbation prevention

Kellogg worked on the rehabilitation of masturbators, often employing extreme measures, even mutilation, on both sexes. He was an advocate of circumcising young boys to curb masturbation and applying phenol to a young woman's clitoris. In his Plain Facts for Old and Young,[8] he wrote:
“ A remedy which is almost always successful in small boys is circumcision, especially when there is any degree of phimosis. The operation should be performed by a surgeon without administering an anesthetic, as the brief pain attending the operation will have a salutary effect upon the mind, especially if it be connected with the idea of punishment, as it may well be in some cases. The soreness which continues for several weeks interrupts the practice, and if it had not previously become too firmly fixed, it may be forgotten and not resumed.[15] ”

    further
“ a method of treatment [to prevent masturbation] ... and we have employed it with entire satisfaction. It consists in the application of one or more silver sutures in such a way as to prevent erection. The prepuce, or foreskin, is drawn forward over the glans, and the needle to which the wire is attached is passed through from one side to the other. After drawing the wire through, the ends are twisted together, and cut off close. It is now impossible for an erection to occur, and the slight irritation thus produced acts as a most powerful means of overcoming the disposition to resort to the practice ”

    and
“ In females, the author has found the application of pure carbolic acid (phenol) to the clitoris an excellent means of allaying the abnormal excitement. ”

He also recommended, to prevent children from this "solitary vice", bandaging or tying their hands, covering their genitals with patented cages and electrical shock.[8]

In his Ladies' Guide in Health and Disease, for nymphomania, he recommended
“ Cool sitz baths; the cool enema; a spare diet; the application of blisters and other irritants to the sensitive parts of the sexual organs, the removal of the clitoris and nymphae... ”

Kellogg thought that masturbation was the worst evil one could commit; he often referred to it as "self-abuse". He was a leader of the anti-masturbation movement, and promoted extreme measures to prevent masturbation.[28][29][30] In addition, Kellogg thought that diet played a huge role in masturbation and that a bland diet would decrease excitability and prevent masturbation. Thus, Kellogg invented Corn Flakes breakfast cereal in 1878. He hoped that feeding children this plain cereal every morning would help to combat the urges of "self-abuse"

LIRL is Breitbart actually thinking they are the reason K was down yesterday? Maybe they should look at the charts of GIS and POST as well before they start sucking themselves off.

Okayyyyyyy guy. The stock was down 13% already over the last 3 months.

And hey look, Breitbart reported on something prior to this that is actually more likely in contributing to their stock being down.

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...eport-boycott/

Oh yea, what about their Q3 loss that was reported?

Should I bother mentioning the technicals and moving averages of the stock? Have you ever traded before?

This Breitbart nonsense has very little, if anything to do with the stock being down.

Obviously there is no definitive way to tell what percentage the stock price fell since the Breitbart's anti-Kellogg's campaign. Regardless the bad PR does tend to make investors nervous .

Breitbart is not some small time site with limited reach. They receive 45 million page views a month and rank #36 by Alexa in the US, 236 globally. Picking a fight with them is tantamount to taking on a broadcast TV network and therefore counter productive to the millions they spend marketing their products. So the exposure is there for investors to certainly pick-up on it.

Kellogg’s stock has fallen 3.6 percent in the last two days in part because of the Breitbart brouhaha.
