NEW POLL: Bernie jumps to a 9 point lead in New Hampshire

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has jumped out to a commanding lead over his 2020 Democratic primary opponents in New Hampshire, according to a new CNN poll of the early primary state.

The survey, which was released on Sunday and conducted by New Hampshire University, found that 25 percent of likely Democratic primary voters favor the progressive Vermont senator, a four-point increase from October. Sixteen percent of respondents said they would pick former Vice President Joe Biden to be the Democratic nominee.

Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg earned a five-point boost in support to 15 percent, surpassing Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) to come in third. Warren, who placed second in New Hampshire in an identical poll from October, appeared in fourth with 12 percent support. The figure represents a 6-point slide over the last few months for the Massachusetts senator.

Sanders, Biden, Buttigieg and Warren were the only candidates to register double-digit support among Democrats. Sen. Amy Kobuchar (D-Minn.) earned 6 percent support, while Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) and tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang earned the backing of 5 percent of voters. The result qualifies Yang for the February Democratic debate.

The New Hampshire survey comes as polls increasingly show Sanders in position to contend with Biden for the Democratic nomination. A new Washington Post-ABC News survey showed that the two are the only candidates registering at least 20 percent support nationally among Democratic leaning voters. In addition, recent polls have shown Sanders neck and neck with Biden in Iowa.

A WBUR News survey released last week also found Sanders with a double-digit lead over the field in New Hampshire, the second state to hold a presidential primary.

CNN noted that Sanders has increased his support (13 percentage points) among liberal likely primary voters in New Hampshire. This has come at the expense of Warren, whose support among that block has slid by seven points. In total, 39 percent of liberal likely primary voters favor Sanders, while 21 percent back Warren.

Thirty-nine percent of likely Democratic primary voters say Sanders will win the New Hampshire primary. But 49 percent of respondents acknowledge that they are still considering their selection. Sanders won New Hampshire by more than 20 points during the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries.

The CNN poll was conducted between Jan. 15 and Jan. 23 among a random population of 1,176 adults in New Hampshire, including 516 likely Democratic primary. The margin of error is 4.3 percent.

    IA...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Vice President Joe Biden are in a statistical dead heat atop the 2020 Democratic presidential field in Iowa just before the state’s caucuses, according to a poll released Sunday.

Sanders, at 26 percent, has a 1-point lead over Biden, which is within the margin of error of the CBS News poll, which was conducted by YouGov.

Oh stop it. Americans are Brainwashed. Look up Edwards Bernays. Great BBC documentary on YouTube called “Century of the Self” breaks it down. Freedom is popular but so is free $#@!. When given the choice the brainwashed masses choose free $#@! because it’s tangible and at least that way they will get something from “all-powerful” Mordor (another lie the corporate media pushes relentlessly - read The Art of War). This whole “freedom isn’t popular” doctrine is a pity party and defeatist. Count me out.

PS. Maybe the reason people don’t listen to you has less to do with freedom and more to do with you. A little self reflection goes a long way.

Just knock out Biden and Bernie looks strong. Biden is probably already dying (politically) especially during this impeachment and they bring up Biden and his son Hunter. Wouldn't surprise me if the Dems (or Bernie campaign) take this tack.

We're being governed ruled by a geriatric Alzheimer patient/puppet whose strings are being pulled by an elitist oligarchy who believe they can manage the world... imagine the utter maniacal, sociopathic hubris!

    Sanders Vaults to the Lead

    Michael S. Rozeff

At this instant, Sanders is at 37 cents and Biden at 34 cents on Predictit. Running third at 13 cents is Bloomberg. Everyone else is effectively out of the race unless the party bigwigs engineer one of them as the candidate because they don’t want Sanders to win.

You can find a long list of the promises of Sanders at his official site.

This week, Hillary Clinton badmouthed Sanders and Obama let it be known that he would throw his weight against Sanders.

The old regime of Democrat leadership is out of step with the rank and file. This is also the case to some extent in the House where Pelosi has had to deal with the Squad. Democrat voters are re-defining the Democratic party as clearly socialist, and their aim to impose their socialist programs on every American is much more totalitarian in spirit and intensity than in the past when they fielded such excuses as depression, overcoming poverty and rectifying racism to justify socialist programs.

Assuming that Trump and Sanders both stay alive and in good enough health to run and hold office, Predictit makes Trump the winner in an election contest. Trump is at even money (49 cents) and Sanders is a 3-1 shot (25 cents).

Now, a footnote. At this time, Sanders does not say how much his plans would cost: “You don’t know. Nobody knows. This is impossible to predict.” Nonetheless, he is willing to say that Single-Payer Medicare for All will cost less than the current system: “Do you know exactly what healthcare costs will be…in the next ten years if we do nothing? It will be a lot more expensive than a Medicare-for-all single-payer system.”

This is Bernie logic. This is a socialist demagogue’s “logic”. He doesn’t know what current system C will cost over the next 10 years but he knows that new system S will cost less than whatever C costs. How can that be?

Bernie has no idea who will demand healthcare, in what ways, in what quantities, in what places and he has no idea who will supply healthcare in the millions upon millions of ways in wihch its components can be supplied. He has no idea what any given procedure or remedy will cost or what it will be worth someone to obtain. He has no idea what inventions and techniques may become available. He has no idea how much fraud will be in any system. And on and on. But he knows that the government should be the single-payer for health demands for everyone. This is Bernie economics. This is a socialist demagogue’s understanding of economics.

Ron Paul did get that kind of moment in NH. Until they stole it from us. The grand illusion makes people think what they want them to think.

“The spirits of darkness are now among us. We have to be on guard so that we may realize what is happening when we encounter them and gain a real idea of where they are to be found.
