Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Been aware of Academia since Piltdown man.

That was the most Audacious Hoax,,and it still survives today in Evolution theory. which is then applied wrongly to everything.

But you do not have elemental sodium in your house. And do have some alcohol you purchased for the price few times more than an identical alternative.

You do not know what I have in my House.. or the Fact that I was a Fire Fighter. (Real science in the real world)

And I am a Beer Drinker,, with varied tastes.. Sometimes an ale,,sometimes a Porter.

How about you quit telling me what I think,, since you know nothing.

And in that capacity you just used water to quench fire. Not worrying that there might be elemental sodium in the burning house.

So you did buy it after all. Now just honestly admit that you bought an overpriced brand. And that you never saw elemental sodium except once in a chemistry class in high school when the teacher dropped a piece into water.

I traded American Cigarettes for it..

And How would Domestic Russian Vodka,, (with no tax stamp) be "overpriced" since what I paid was LESS than common market value? even if was available in US stores.. (They do have an Import Label and it is Taxed)

High School Chemistry had a girl in front of me who wore miniskirts,, it is amazing I learned anything.

Last excitement I had was a few years back,,when my employer hit a block of Magnesium with a cutting torch..

    Yes,,the guy was an idiot.

I am not surprised to learn that you are a cheat.

Yes, you duped drunken sailors. But when you bought overpriced vodka in a store you were duped yourself. It is typical for the cons to boast off when they dupe the others. But they are always reluctant to admit they were duped themselves.

    A cheat?

You think that when that Soviet traded his common and cheap bottle for a pack of rare and exotic products from the U.S., he felt cheated? If he thought he got good value, who do you think you are to call him a liar?

Or do you consider him a cheat because he didn't buy a tax stamp--a uniquely U.S. item, so far as I know--and put it on a bottle that did not come from the U.S. and never made it to the U.S?

Do tell. Why are we calling this established member names, again? Looks to me like you have no reason at all, unless you're just here to get banned.

I was curious as to the purpose of a few posts,,especially considering some recent ones.

I was attacked for "my defense of academia" and condemned for my lack of Formal degree.

Still curious as to the age if the kid.. some can be helped.

Russian vodka is one of the most expensive if not the most expensive in any US store.

So the following is just your whimsical opinion?

You have lousy taste in scotch.

So you don't think the ship crew and truck driver should be paid for their work? Did it ever occur to you that it's only a country's better products that people pay shipping and tariffs to import?

At the time, Soviet officials created an artificial scarcity in Russia of good Virginia tobacco, preferring to sell the crap made locally. You never heard of the law of supply and demand?

Do you think, in a perfect world, there would be no such thing as demand? Are you socialist enough to think a perfect world has no such thing as supplies?
