    Do you support drunk driving?

Forget about laws...do you think the driving while drunk is smart or not?

No. Do you think drinking a beer or two makes you drunk?

Depends on the person. If you become impaired you should not be driving.

This would be an ideal place for the Albert Collins classic song , " I aint drunk , I'm just drinking " .

It depends. If you drive dangerously while drunk, then yes, it's dangerous. If you take every precaution to be safe, you might actually be safer than someone who is texting & driving.

By take every precaution to be safe, I mean turn on your blinking emergency lights, stay in the slow lane, go half the speed limit, etc... in other words, the kind of safe actions to take that would immediately attract LEO and get you arrested and thrown in prison for drunk driving.

Drunk driving laws encourage drunk drivers to a) pretend they are sober, b) be more concerned about looking for cops, than safety
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

You make a good point about looking for speed traps. Eyes should be straight ahead.

Ah, see? Whether I think it's smart or not has relatively nothing to do with it being harmless or dangerous. I mean, heck. I know a lot of really smart people who are dangerous in one way or another. As well, I know some pretty dumb people who are quite harmles. Apples and oranges, this poll.

If you want to know whether people think it's smart or dumb then make that the poll. You're begging quite another question in the actual poll than you initially ask in the op.

Smart people can do dumb things and vice versa.

I'll define dangerous as dumb and harmless as smart.

    Totally subjective.

    Skiing is dangerous.

    So is horseback riding.

I don't happen to do either.

The relevant issue is the danger to other people involved.

Ron Paul friendly states drink the most.

Dumb is dumb. I've seen oodles and gobs of dumb people driving a lot worse than my old mentor after a half a rack. Stone cold sober.

People on the ski slopes routinely crash into and injure or kill each other.

Right, but the title of your thread asks "Do you support drunk driving?"

$#@!, taft. You have us layed out on the old psychiatry couch with the old zodiac mind fudge going on.

I'll just say that I don't support drunk driving. How's that?

Is this private or public property?

There are both private and public land ski slopes in NH, ME and VT.

I imagine that is the case everywhere.

Most of his supporters tend to not proclaim what his supporters can do without.

So you disapprove of drinking, regardless.

Why didn't you just say that you were a neo-prohibitionist at the get go?

Would have made things a lot easier.

  26. #23
People that are simply trying to commute should not be subject to more risk than necessary.

It's mostly private in AZ lat I heard some years ago, but I've heard of some public slopes up north.

I don't mind drinking in moderation. When people are drinking tons, I assume they are eventually getting drunk.

In short: the Ron Paul movement is not well represented by drunks.

Drunk is very subjective. I do not support an 18 year old girl driving after a few beers. I'm generally okay with a seasoned drinker driving above the legal limit. Everyone's limit is different. .08% BAC is plastered for some people, and others function normally all the way up to .20%ish. I start to lose my motor skills around .15%. I don't drive drunk anyway, but I definitely could if I needed to.

Using a motor vehicle at all to commute is more risk than necessary.

I don't really have a problem with the notion of every vehicle on the market having technology stocked right out of the factory to deal with this. Of course, that's just the globalist in me showing.

Most of the time it isn't brought up...AF wanted to brag that Ron Paul supporters disproportionately drink.
