Is Austrian Economic theory the one where they march in wearing brownshirts and take all the businesses from teh Jews? Laissez-faire, uber alles!

Wow, Ludwig von Mises is supposed to be a Nazi? Whatever kind of screwed in the $#@!ing head, pounded in the ass til they bled, $#@!ing pretzel-like logic was used to come to that conclusion shows me that some Leftists are dumber than a goddamn bag of hammers. $#@!ing Nazism was a form of SOCIALISM that had at its core Corporatism. Corporatism is the antithesis of laissez-faire/free market capitalism as espoused by The Austrian School of Economics.

I know the comment was a joke, but Mises' political/economic philosophy is completely at odds with fascism. Social democracy, which from what I can gather most of those at Wonkette probably support, is, however, more in tune with fascism.

Correct. Whatever post they made (I'm not giving them traffic) wasn't a factual attempt to say Austrian Economic Theory is nazi-related. The point of it was to piss off Ron Paul supporters, many of whom act like idiots on the internet and to drive traffic---a secondary benefit being some unhinged so-called supporter making some ridiculous comments for them to feed on at the blog.

The saying, "Don't feed the trolls" applies here.

But I think the ultra hip right now is the Ron Paul Revolution. But it's still kind of "underground." It's like U2 in 1983-1984. When Obama/wonkette-type people would have been listening to Boy George and Madonna.

The Revolution is so completely hip that it is still misunderstood or undiscovered, but will soon become ultra popular with the main stream, like U2 is now.
Many of us will be tempted to say "I was into Ron Paul when it was cool." But let's not. Let's speak highly of all new converts and simply laugh off their previous brain washings or mere slumbers from which they will awaken.
