Exclamation Tucker Carlson: Stores are empty because we make nothing anymore.

I'm in no hurry to put myself back into the high stress job I had, exploring and drilling support for offshore oil and gas, when the entire fedgov call me the greatest threat to the nation, and wants to put me in jail for keeping your lights on and keeping your house warm.

We make food. If we can feed the world (we can and do) but can't feed ourselves, it's time to take our land back from ADM and Monsanto. Don't tell me private property blah blah. Vilsack was Secretary of Ag back when this money printing for corporate welfare got going really good under Obama. Racketeering and theft are no legitimate way to acquire property.

Yep. The great consolidation combined with foreign buyouts of American companies and shifting production overseas accelerated to the extreme under Obama and Trump. This is the fall out.

    Trump started to reverse it.
It's one of the many reasons they cheated so hard to get rid of him.

How did he start to reverse it? He wrote so many checks with his mouth, it's hard to keep track

    Don't play stupid.
The tariffs on China and the (not perfect but improved) renegotiation of NAFTA were very important along with his reduction of taxes and regulations.

    Dump NAFTA Dump Trump
reduces taxes, inflates the money supply so the tax break is negated

The guy spouting off listing his accomplishments at his rallies are just fairy tales. He had the power to negotiate and end trade agreements like NAFTA rather than just rename them and make some tweaks. Just like all his other deals it is all smoke and mirrors, doing 5% while selling a line of crap to his gullible supporters with help from team player political pundits.

If it was not Covid related, just like everything else his renegotiation with Mexico worked for 1 quarter before it took for the Mexicans to figure their way around it and now we are back to the same level of imports as we were before. Not that there were some things in the USMCA that were good things but for the most part his claims are weak.

Antitrust enforcement declined under Trump. Again, great rhetoric his surrogates saying otherwise. I could keep going but why beat a dead horse.

Barely anything changed. If a true conservative were going to change NAFTA, a whole heck of a lot more would have been done than what Trump did. To be perfectly honest and accurate about it, Trump was the biggest empty blowhard to ever be president. He either had no idea what he was doing, or was nothing other than a charlatan for the group that really made out during his presidency. I say it's the latter. The bones he tossed to his base could have been done - and were done - by any Republican. The only people who were impressed by Trump are those who are incapable of examining facts with any detail at all.
