Default Ron Paul on Food Regulations

I had to sit and listen to my chemistry teacher tell us about how caffene free sodas caused cancer. If this is true, I say they should be forced to label their prodcuts with warnings, but I know how research commitees can manipulate the facts to fit their agenda so Im uncertian of the correct course of action. I dont know wether or not this is true, but if it is where does Ron Paul Stand on labeling the products just like they label cigarettes?

Don't buy the soda unless it has a label with ingredients.

If the ingredient list is fraudulent, then you can sue for damages or let free market consumer product guides know so that they can put out a statement which can be advertised in the media. The company will go out of business because nobody knows what is actually in their soda.

When there's a true free market I'll be buying natural organic sodas that have like 3 ingredients. Will you join me in propping up these companies that are honest and produce high quality carbonated beverages made with real fruit juices? If so, then we won't have to worry very much. On the other hand, if you continue to buy bullshit sodas with HFCS or splenda then I say you get what health detriments you deserve. We already know that shit is bad for us, where have you been?

I know its bad for us, I have been trying to end my addiction to high fructose corn syrup. My instructor was telling us that everyone should stop drinking caffene free soda because it caused cancer. She blamed the lobboyists for nothing being done. I disagreed with her on the government getting involved, but I think if its a know fact that the products cause cancer that it should be made public(although I am just now reading the part of atlas shrugged where the government talks of the dangers of rearden metal).

the government is in bed with the folks who are putting HFCS in everything they are the ones doing it to us they are not going to stop them.

It is up to you to take charge of your own health. Labels don't stop people from smoking or drinking while pregnant. Use your brain you have been given the knowledge.

Here's how I see it.

If they don't say what's on it, don't buy it.

If they say something on it that's not true, sue them for fraud.
