Thread: Is the Blimp going to be at the Super Bowl?

  1. #1

Question Is the Blimp going to be at the Super Bowl?

And by that I mean during, not an hour before or after.

Is there time to get permission or a waiver or whatever the requirement is? Is the blimp group's first amendment lawyer on it?

No, it can't get over there that fast. And it's too far from a suitable airport I think.

The regulations that underpin the current FAA regulations around the Superbowl would take many tens of thousands of dollars worth of legal research and court time...we also realized that at the speed this would move we would be doing it for posterity, not for the blimp.

In addition at the rate of speed the blimp travels getting to AZ is really impractical. When we first started we were thinking bigger than one blimp and had spoken to a blimp owner on the West Coast about using a blimp of theirs for the superbowl. We never had the funding for a second blimp.

BUT, We have a solution: www.ronpaulairforce.com

There are also some on the ground grassroots initiatives we have caught wind of planned for the area before and during the superbowl.
