Default Mlk vs Teaparty hourly breakdown of the numbers

The only reason I am comparing MLK to Teaparty is that those are the only hourly numbers that I have to compare. If I had Nov 5th hourly nuimbers or any other hourly bomb numbers I would have posted those too. I am posting this to give an idea where we might end up as far as totals. If you have hourly numbers for Nov 5th or other big bombs then by all means post them. I am in no way trying to diminish the MLK bomb by comparing it to Teaparty.

I will be updating figures hourly. The figures I am getting are from ronpaul2008.com when it hits the top of the hour exactly.

I posted a poll on continuing bomb till 12am Pacific. The results were 6 yes 3 no at midnight so I will post the next 2 hours results as well and that just happens to be the same amount of time I kept track of the Teaparty Bomb. Good work everyone!!!!

Update: My computer crashed just after midnight and I lost my whole excel spread sheet for the day so no more totals. They amounts coming in after midnight were rather small and would not have made much difference to the totals. Good thing I got it all posted here before it crashed.

averaging about 19.7% of the tea party. That amount to about 1.188 million. This is beyond my expectation, but well short of my prayers. I feel like breaking a mil will be a success, and we can look forward to getting out in the cold to canvass!!! If you cannot put up 2300$, then go out and do 2300 - your donation = $$ worth of canvassing.

I'm getting my friends to donate a dollar each, get the donors up, if anything.. Surely we can get 100k if we are only asking a dollar from everyone.. (as much as one can come off of -> max out)

Do we know that anything is left after credit card transaction fees are subtracted from $1 donations?

I'd rather have a comparison with November 5th honestly. Teaparty was just too huge to replicate.

I remember a post somewhere about donating $1 to Huckabutt because it would cost more than the donation, so I think $1 will cost the campaign because of fees for processing.

Sorry, but I don't have hourly numbers for Nov 5th as I was not as involved as I am now.

I think we should just focus on this one, and spend time promoting it instead of constantly comparing it to the previous ones.

The PPA's (per per person average) been stellar @ $90.00. There just haven't been as many donors throughout the night as there were on Nov 5th and Dec 16th. Hopefully this will change come daytime.

Good job OP, but in all honesty, this comparison is very unfair. The TeaParty is the yet single biggest fundraising online in history. We also had over a month to promote it. It was featured several times in the old media as well. This money bomb didn't really take off until like 10 days ago when RP announced it/mentioned it on CNN during the interview with Wolf Blitzer regarding the news letters. The TeaParty was also promoted from the beginning as the money bomb where you should max out if you could. This money bomb was promoted as the amount of money didn't really matter, but the amount of participants was much more important. It had $10 dollars or more pledge on it's homepage. And many, as myself, didn't even want to participate in the this bomb for various reasons, until of course the General himself announced it. So comparing these 2 money bombs will make the MLK bomb look very, very small, even if we do great. A better comparison, and something we would actually be able to compete with would be the 5th of November money bomb, and that is the one we should aim for to break (to begin with).

I hope someone could put those November 5th numbers up to compete with, that would make it more fair and achievable..........

I wasn't trying to just compare it to Teaparty but those are the only hourly numbers I had to go on and thought it would give an idea of where we might end up.
