Hi all,
Today Democracy Now had Kucinich come into their studio to participate in the debate that he was excluded from last night. I have for a long time been a listener of their show, but recently I have felt that they provide unfair coverage of the main stream candidates, especially Obama and Hillary. This little interview today was a nice step toward reconcilling. However they have not once talked about Ron Paul's campaign, or the fact that Kucinich and Paul are more alike than any of their peers.
I've started leaving comments on their site, asking them to have fair coverage of the Paul campaign, which stands for everything they tout to belive in - truth and justice.
If you do a search on their site for Ron Paul, you will see they've never done a story on him, only a headline, and when they do mention him, it's usually condescending and trite:
"JUAN GONZALEZ: Gareth Porter, I’d like to ask you, I was watching the Republican debate last night on Fox News and was astonished to see one of the moderators spend quite a bit of time on this topic, questioning every one of the candidates as to whether they believe the Navy commander on the scene did the right thing by not blowing the Iranian boats out of the water. Surprisingly, only Ron Paul, the maverick, even questioned some of the facts of the incident as reported. Your response to this suddenly becoming a topic for the presidential debates?"
What's so surprising about it? Ron Paul speaks the truth. If they were listening to him they would know.
Democracy now had a great article on the chosen advisors of the main candidates and atrocities that they are linked to. Of course, they also continue to do stories on fake topics and contribute to the airtime that these candidates already dominate.
You can leave comments on their site. I have been asking them to do more coverage of Ron Paul's campaign.
