Thread: When will the market crash?

    When will the market crash?

I have sell orders in for monday . I'm worried here at all of the coming bad news and I realy don't want to be in dollars either. The stock market is really the last leg holding the chair up and I'm kinda worried it's about to be kicked out. So my question is how low will the market go this year and what month will it hit that low? Worse case scenario the market continues to fall all year long starting in late spring when the first results from the housing market are in.

Hopefully it will fall to maybe 10800-11400 range and move sideways so it is still playable. As I said I am scared now so I am temporarily out and will only be jumping back in to grab quick profits when I know news is coming or if it looks like we have corrected to a lower level and are moving sideways.

There's little to be scared about if your ready. Those who are prepared can ride this and come out ahead (possibly). It's those dillusional poor souls who don't see it coming that are in trouble.

I have pretty much all my assests hedged for now. I am glad I put money in gold a few years back. I am waiting to see what the market does for now because no one has a clue. Still, there are probably a ton of people making money in the options market right now.

Don't worry about the impending collapse. If you have just a small amount of hedge in something like gold and it all comes crashing down, your gains will far outweight your losses in the market.

In the meantime, you need to have a certain amount of your assets in the market just in case it is able to last through your lifetime.

The crash of the dollar is already in full swing. There are a few charts here. I think the safest place to be is cash in the form of gold. When some banks start collapsing that will start the real stampede.

everything (dollar, economy, housing, derivatives, etc) is all crashing down simultaneously....we, through our stupid STUPID economic system, our consume-driven economy, and our terriblye spending habits (not to mention our foreign policy) has created a virtual perfect storm for economic meltdown.

Honestly, there's a large number of people in economics, the "conspiracy realm", small and large-town bankers, etc that are all saying the same thing "the game is up...it was ignited in 2007, and it'll ALL come crashing down in 2008". Me, personally? I look to March for some kind of "event"....not sure if it will happen then, but I am almost fully convinced that there will be a collapse this year.

It's rather interesting, Saxo Bank (a huge Denmark Bank) made a prediction this year (and they've been notoriously accurate in their predictions). Apparently they said things will collapse before the US election, but things will proceed in such a manner that Ron Paul will be President.

Let's hope they're right....if so, this could create a "perfect storm" for Free Market economics in the next 50-100 years to come (if/after we recover from the collapse). The Presidents after the Great Depression set the stage for a socialistic based economy (albeit mixed)....with Ron Paul, the trend might be demolished and replaced by a Free Market one...if that was a case, after we recover, we could definitely expect to BOOM (in a good way).

I just hope and pray that Saxo bank's predictions come true.

It already did if you price the DOW in gold.

I was having lunch last week with a VP for Bank of America. We were talking monetary policy. He likes the gold standard but is a Romney supporter and war monger.... go figure. Anyway, he said the CFO for BoA had visited earlier in the week and had mentioned he was having 'sleepless' nights.

Anyway, I am glad I have lots of physical gold that is liquid.

Stop putting links to those web sites in your posts. You're spamming the boards with that crap probably hoping you'll get Google exposure from it.
