Could someone in the campaign acknowledge what kind of consulting or research is being done to reach specific voters with a tailored message? For example, are we using any groups like TargetPoint Consulting? They are responsible for the strategy of microtargeting in politics; that is identifying certain purchases of goods or subscriptions as indicative of specific views. Once the "micro" groups are found, you send them the mailer, or make the call that most likely invigorates their "target" issue. For example subscriptions to gun magazines may give you an obvious 2nd amendment proponent. You send that voter a record of Paul on gun rights. This is a basic example, TargetPoint's method is far more precise and truly amazing. Inside politicians will tell you they are often privately credited with winning Bush the Presidency. I also know a former employee, and was impressed with their results. I am just curious if there is anything of the sort being utilized in the campaign. In the world of sound bytes, getting the message out to so many is key. Obviously if we can "target" our message, we will be more likely to sway voters.
