Thumbs up Ron Paul may be top GOP fund raiser for Quarter- A Salute to each and everyone

A Salute to each and everyone who stood for liberty and made BTP and Ron Paul campaign a great success so far. Ron Paul is expected to end up being the top GOP fund raiser for this quarter before primaries, that is an great feat in itself.

Amazing effort by all those who made it happen. This is just the start, march has just begun.

Romney wrote a check for 17mil to his campaign this quarter, we are just at over 18 mil, so unless romney only raises an actual 1mil from supporters, he will indeed be #1 and we will be #2.

Of course, in reality Romney's check shouldn't count as "raised", but that is how the media will unfortunately report it as we all know.

    I should add a qualifier.

Ron Paul is expected to be top GOP fund raiser for this quarter for the money raised from American public.

Romney's writing check to himself or some other candiadtes getting a $10 million check from some saudi or oil company doesn't count really.

People shouldn't be allowed to write themselves cheques of such magnitude, for it places non-wealthy candidates at a massive disadvantage straight away and that doesn't seem fair at all.

Correction. Ron Paul WILL be the top GOP candidate in Fundraising this quarter. Romney borrowing money from himself does not count. It would actually make him look pretty pathetic if he did it this time.

Viva La Revolution. Romney may write himself a check for 36 Million to say he doubled us. But in fact he'd just make himself go broke... So let Romney donate himself as much as he wants that money from 1 person we got money from close to 60,000 in one day.

Romney's campaign is already in debt, by at least 8 million.

Oh be proud everyone, I think we did great. Compared to all the other candidates who get more face time on tv, it's amazing how much we raised, beating Kerry's one day record.

I think its assured that RP will have the most cash on hand since Romney's personal contributions count as debt against his numbers. Both Rudy and Fred have flopped this quarter so their donations have dried up. Huck is raising better now but still nowhere near what he "should" be and nowhere near RP. I figure by the end of the 4th quarter, RP will have far more cash on hand than any other Republican and not including Mitt's personal contributions, will be the highest GOP fundraiser for the entire year....and still going...

They have never yet and they never will have the sense to reflect that this hobby-horse is a manifest violation of the most important law of nature, which has established from the very creation of the world one unit unlike another and precisely for the purpose of instituting individuality."- A Quote From Some Old Book

Having most cash on hand at this juncture is going to be an important factor. Good observation.

Ron Paul Raises $6 Million in a 24-Hour Period

Judging by what you see on this You Tube video that comes from Ron Paul headquarters in New York this weekend as he passed the $12 million fund-raising mark for this quarter, his young supporters like to par-tay!

But by the time the sun came up Monday morning, the $12 million total was a thing of the past. The current total (as of this posting) on Ron Paul's website is $18.201,000. It comes as a result of what might be the largest single-day fund-raising total ever in presidential history — $6 million on Sunday. (His supporters call these single-day fund-raising efforts 'money bombs.')

It also means that regardless of how he does in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, he'll have enough money to continue his campaign into the 22 states that vote on Feb. 5. And he'll probably out raise all the other Republican candidates, including the very hot Mike Huckabee, for this quarter.

Say what you want about Paul and his Don Quixote-like quest for the Republican presidential nomination, he has tapped into a powerful political vein. His supporters are among the campaign's most passionate, and are willing to go the extra, extra mile for him ... including doing things like renting blimps on their own dime in order to take spread his name around.

Six Million Dollar Man Ron Paul Shatters All Records for One-Day Fundraising Event

    Published Dec 19, 2007

In honor of the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, the New American Revolutionaries raised $6.04 million for Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul in just one day—another one-day record for both the Ron Paul campaign and for any presidential campaign in history, surpassing John Kerry's former record of $5.8 million in 2004. With an average donation of $102, a total of 58,407 individuals, 24,915 of whom had never donated before, contributed to the Paul campaign en masse.

The campaign's Q4 fundraising totals have now surpassed $18 million.
