The "Money Bomb" can always be pulled out of retirement for a special occaision, but its continued use will lessen its value and viability.
NEW things are what catch people's interest, and keep a fresh BUZZ going. And THAT generates new interest in any social interaction... including campaigns.
I suggest we encourage some friendly competition/rivalries, in terms of fundraising, on a weekly basis. Have different fundraising "teams" that go head to head from week to week.
Maybe like amateur league activities... except with fundraising. And the members of the "team" that raises the most money each month all get a special t-shirt from the campaign or something.
Maybe start off with 16 individuals volunteering to "captain" a fundraising team. Then people volunteer to be on a team, and are randomly assigned to a team (so teams fill up equally, not lopsided). Then each week, 8 teams will try to out-fundraise the other 8 teams, featuring one-on-one match-ups, just like in sports leagues. The following week, each team "plays" a different team. At the end of the month, the team with the highest overall total raised wins that month.
