Rand Paul 2016
This actually is a very good idea.
//
I love this idea
"Where would we be if we had I.O.U.'s scrip and certificates floating all around the country?" Instead he decided to "issue currency against the sound assets of the banks. [As opposed to issuing currency against gold.] The Federal Reserve Act lets us print all we'll need. And it won't frighten the people. It won't look like stage money. It'll be money that looks like real money." [Emphasis added.]
Treasury Secretary Woodin, 3/7/33
Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
This if made national will be a huge BIG DEAL and will scare the S(^%T out of them.
GREAT IDEA.................and give the money you would have paid them to PAUL!
Lets getter done!!
I work for comcast =( dont put me on the streets! every one of us is voting for Ron Paul. I converted the whole call center!!! +150 Votes!
YES!
We need to get a petition site set up. People will submit their name and information about their current cable provider. Once we get enough people to sign the petition we will bring it to the various cable providers telling them to tell the news agencies to shape up or 50,000 people are not going to be buying cable next year.
Is anyone interested in getting this started?
Its not the cable companies, its the news companies.
[Edit- Sorry for all the other edits, my computer keeps messing up]

Rand Paul 2016
I would have gotten rid of cable anyway since by 2009 (I think) everyone has to have digital cable or something like that.
I dont have that kind of $$$
Rand Paul 2016
EXACTLY.
We dont put up commercials, we dont run ads.
We broadcast exactly what we get from the T.V. Stations.
There is no "cable conspiracy" its foolish.
Cnn Broadcasts to us, we pick up that signal, and broadcast it out, no interceptions or editing at all. You wanna make a differece? Turn the news off.
"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." I was so angry, I called to cancel, and they offered me a discount to stay on... So I still have it. SO, at the very least, maybe everyone will get a a rate cut. They will lose money, but they are desparate to keep subscribers for their advertisers.
OK
what date?
how to quantify it?
run with it...
This seems like too much too early. I think for something like this to work you would need to start small and see how that goes. Perhaps do a negative money bomb on a company that ran an add during a time when someone was unfair with Ron Paul on TV.
I agree, but the people can't have a major rapid response by boycotting the MSM sponsors. Our only way to express our dislike for the controlled media would be this type of action.
I suggest that we take this theme but we go to a petition site, put up a petition that will go to the cable companies. We will tell the cable companies that they must put pressure on the MSM to report fairly, or we will have no choice but to cut the cord. Interesting.
I do not wish to put any one on the streets or out of a job,,,,,,,we must try to do this in a controlled manner.
This is a good idea. I don't have cable personally, but a good idea for those who do.
Bump, its the only way they will listen.
"Countries are benefited when they changed these [national sovereignty] policies, and evidence suggests that North Americans are ready for a new relationship that renders this old definition of sovereignty obsolete."
CFR task force co-chairman Robert Pastor
They black us out, we black them out.
You just need a digital tuner after 2009 if the fcc shuts down analog signals. I don't have cable and I get all the FREE over the air TV digital and HD shows. All you need is a antenna on your roof.
I have a fusion HDTV tuner in my PC hooked up to a plasma that i watch tv on and cruise the internet. No need for cable to enjoy HD.
I am done with cable in a few months...there is no reason to finance this garbage any longer. If, for some reason, you actually have a favorite TV show, get a DVD player, and buy the boxed set dirt cheap off eBay. When you're done watching, resell it on eBay again or put it in a yard sale. You'll save HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of dollars, and help cut the gonads off the news media.
I make my living in cable, so I won't be canceling anything. Of course, I get it for free so cancelling free cable would be kind of pointless.
total agreement
*****Also be sure to state your reason for canceling*****
I think a widescale, one day cancellation, would be great.
I dont know if it should be the cable comapnies, though, they just provide the broadband.
There's plenty to watch on regular TV (if you get decent reception). It isn't as big a sacrifice as it sounds. A large effort would catch the media's attention and hurt them. I agree that we may be more effective if we decide on a date.
I haven't had cable for over a year, but not because of Ron Paul. It's because I realized the idiocy of the reporting on the news channels, and realized the lack of decent shows on the other channels...plus, the cost is outrageous. A few hours of Packer football a week is all I desire. Anything beyond that is overkill.
I'm would DEFINITELY do this! I'm sick of their Viagra ads anyway!

Vote for Ron Paul!
To the guy that said he works for Comcast and doesn't want to be put out of a job... Here's my response:
Don't worry, Comcast still offers internet and sub-par phone service... You're job won't be in jeopardy. Comcast makes money hand over fist and has just about as many lobbyists in Congress as Wal-Mart and Phillip-Morris. Comcast donates millions of dollars to the campaigns of CFR members and other in power to maintain their Monopoly. Comcast is definitely responsible for some of the skewed media you see in the MSM.
But dont' worry, if Ron Paul wins there will be more jobs, more money, more companies to work for because there will be a greater free market. Do you know why you should be voting for Ron Paul if you're a Comcast employee? Because when the CIA used the Patriot Act to force the Telcos and Cable companies to give up their customer's information and records... Comcast gladly obliged with no hesitation or argument. That should have you worry. That is why I've turned down 3 different job offers at Comcast, even though they were all with pay raises.
I am canceling my Cable at the end of my billing cycle (after Christmas) and I am switching my internet connection to Verizon Fios or Qwest Fiber (depending on where I buy my new house).
p.s. Heard on NPR that Qwest was the ONLY communications company that completely refused the CIA and has, to this day, not given up any of their customers records or information to the government! Now there's a company worth supporting!
