Angry Tulsi flips on warrantless surveillance

"Section 702, unlike other FISA authorities, is crucial for gathering foreign intelligence on non-U.S. persons abroad," Gabbard continued. "This unique capability cannot be replicated and must be safeguarded to protect our nation while ensuring the civil liberties of Americans."

Meh, I gave up a long time ago and just accept that the government spies on me. Even FISA was overturned they would still spy on us, so what's the point in worrying about it?

    she wouldn't be confirmed otherwise

still lucky if she even makes it

So when the FBI and NSA are abolished, it won't make any difference anyway.

  16. #14
First of all, she has only stated she is ok with spying on foreigners, she did not say domestic citizens.

The issue has been that they have used spying on foreigners to get these broad FISA authorizations that they use to spy on domestic citizens.

They did that to go after Trump.

Tulsi is just trying to appease a couple Senators who have a hardon over Israel and want to be able to spy on Iran and $#@!.

She's not saying this because she thinks it's what we want to hear.

Probably a good chance. And even if she isn't, it's not like whoever else would be any better. So, nothing to lose by playing tunes they wanna hear.

And I'm pissed off too. The Senate basically sh*t on every one of Trump's halfway worthwhile picks and they still wanna put stipulations on the remaining few.

Can you think of an example where we've ever tried it?

I personally can't think of any example where the liberty folks have ever slipped a mole into the establishment, period. It's ALWAYS been the other way around.

Granted, Tulsi would generally be a bad choice for that role. Too much history being in favor of our rights. Too much of an axe to grind with the deep state for slapping her on the Quiet Skies watch list.
