In their defense, so far this amounts to nothing more than attention getting tweets. I suspect that's all it will ever amount to.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

For the last 24 hours I was thinking "Gosh I really hope this is an intentional distraction from DOGE" but then I realized I'm turning into a 5d chess retard just by considering it.
Looks like we got hoodwinked, and we're gonna have another record-breaking deficit or something equally heinous.
WHAT THE F*** DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN???

After thinking it over, as long as he doesn't start a war, it's fine with me.

So excited for another 4 years of Trump saying sensational things that the left hates and the right rationalizes.

Especially when we really get rolling with team Elon 'tech-Fauci' Musk, and JD 'Palantir-gimp' Vance.

Maybe Trump should just annex the world. Then we don't even need a wall. Just one big mega-empire, kinda like we already have.

Anyway, Trump always says stupid crap when his attempts to re-package the status quo aren't working (e.g. H1's, empire, surveillance state, wars).

    Like this:

    TRUMP: Aren't H1's great?
VOTERS: Wait, this isn't what we wanted...
    TRUMP: Annex Canada!
    LEFT: How dare you!
VOTERS: Screw you leftie! I'm so sorry I doubted you, Trump. You are our only hope.

...sad that this man's greatness is defined by the hatred he attracts and this is why Americans love him.

Yes, all governments are bad, some worse than others. But the Chinese government is practically no threat to Americans in America.
China is spying on all of us and laying framework out in our infrastructure to paralyze us through malware. My company is constantly having to update firewall policies against the incessant attacks coming from China. There is so much more I can go into here, but China wants world domination as well and they're probably worse than our own gov't. is.

This is why I love Trump.

When Ron Paul waxes poetically about a utopia vision and he says "wouldn't it be great if there wasn't a border restricting people and goods?!?!?"

Everyone claps and cheers. BORDERS BAD!

When Donald Trump waxes poetically about a utopia vision and he says "wouldn't it be great if there wasn't a border restricting people and goods?!?!?"

Everyone loses their minds! BORDERS GOOD!

No libertarians are disagreeing with Ron Paul. Ron Paul thinks Trump is a double talking, double dealing hypocrite who flip flops more than a fish out of water, and his supporters are a bunch of celebrity worshipping dilletants who have no principles whatsoever and go with the herd even if the herd is stampeding over a cliff.

As usual, all libertarians are doing is pointing out a factual fact. You're the one channeling liberals by covering your ears and hollering, "Reeeeee!! I know YOU are but what are we? REEEEE!"

Can you please provide the quote from Ron Paul that you're referring to?

I haven't known him to wax poetical about utopian visions.

Republicans tell lies about what Democrats say and Democrats tell lies about what Republicans say, but they both tell lies about what Ron Paul says. That's why we can't tell them apart even with a program.

They should be out celebrating while they can, before their god gets sworn in and can get back to screwing us all. Instead that one is seeking out people with principles to spew insults at. Truly a joyless soul.

The native Greenlander indians just might be gullible enough, drunk enough, and greedy enough to sell it.
But I doubt Europe will allow it.

    Beads, trinkets, and whiskey.

    That would probably do it.

Trading off the soft and cuddly Danish safety net for our Obamacare health system and oligarchical fee market system of vulture capitalism seems like a fair trade.

Throw in some crank and fentanyl and I think they might go for it.

Not only the Greenlanders (sry, don't know the tribe names offhand), but the Danes, need to be paid, if they are going to take Rothschild skrill
for a freaking CONTINENT. (sheer lunacy) - because although the Greenlanders have independence, it's still under the Danish crown, that is, if the Danish crown wants to or can exercise authority, who knows, or the Danish democratic pols. So, the idea that THE UNITED STATES corporation could perform the hard-labour keyboard stroke and POOF, 1 Trillion from the Bank (London); simply distribute it amongst 50,000 Geenlanders (making them get 20 million per head) is probably off-base. Plus, theoretically, THE UNITED STATES Congress is supposed to have the only authority to borrow the money. Nobody knows anymore. I mean, he's talking about using military force not only against Greenland and Denmark but Panama, Mexico, Venezuela, maybe even Canada. We can all start chanting "Fifty-Four Forty Or Fight" like the old days. Now there was a missed opportunity... eh?

Trump ruled out military force against Canada. Not Greenland or Panama.

10 UN Agenda 2030 regions (10 horns of rev?), of which Greenland is a part of and down to the Panama Canal.

    Probably nothing though.

That's literally most of what he does. Remember when he said "freedom is popular!", and then only got 1% of the vote. That was funny haha. He doesn't match reality.

Question Do the people of Greenland get a say?

Do the people of Greenland get to decide their own destiny?

The people of Greenland had better let a large foreign military come and occupy their country in order to prevent a large foreign military from occupying their country.

This is why you need a demagogue. A narcissistic blowhard like Trump seems well-positioned to convince the American public that we would be "taking over" these other countries, rather than the U.S. states ceding their sovereign rights to a globalist entity.

There's that saying, "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Maybe we'll be able to add "wearing a truckers hat" to that.

From John Thomas Flynn's As We Go Marching:

But when fascism comes it will not be in the form of an anti-American movement or pro-Hitler bund, practicing disloyalty. Nor will it come in the form of a crusade against war. It will appear rather in the luminous robes of flaming patriotism; it will take some genuinely indigenous shape and color, and it will spread only because its leaders, who are not yet visible, will know how to locate the great springs of public opinion and desire and the streams of thought that flow from them and will know how to attract to their banners leaders who can command the support of the controlling minorities in American public life. The danger lies not so much in the would-be Fuhrers who may arise, but in the presence in our midst of certainly deeply running currents of hope and appetite and opinion. The war upon fascism must be begun there.
