I'm happy that Mike Johnson is being phased out, but why Elon Musk in particular? Kind of silly.

I think Elon doesn't have the time for that kind of full time job...

I guess that Rand was impressed with Elons calling out the CR bill.

And maybe his libertarian leanings in general.

He'd be good there, bad bills wouldn't reach the floor.

So much for people calling him a pathetic human person or whatever terms they use. Rand and Massie seem to like him.

This is a bit silly... and honestly it would be beneath Elon. But the idea is still kind of fun.

They admittedly aren't the best judges of character, given who Rand has endorsed/hung around in the past. Not discrediting what they've done and continue to do, but Ron was much better with who to endorse.

    This would pose constitutional issues.

While it may not require a person to be a member of Congress, the Constitution grants the power to Congress to determine the line of presidential succession beyond the vice president.

Currently under the 1947 Succession Act, the Speaker of the House is third in line to the presidency.

Musk, of course, cannot serve as president.

But still, it would be great, just to watch the Marxists' heads explode.
The whole narrative is absurd on its face - at the same time the USA was both founded on White supremacy, slavery, and genocide, yet always meant to be a place that infinity Africans, Indians, and South Americans could come for a "better life"? - Unknown

I don't think Rand is being serious. He's just saying this just so he can troll the Democrats and have them meltdown over it.

It would be impossible to not note the rhetoric about President Musk, or VP Trump, or CoPresidents Musk and Trump or, Shadow President, or who is calling the shots, or strings....
Funny thing is none of these people were questioning any of this for the last 4 years.

I would think if a Speaker were ineligible to be President they could still serve as Speaker but just be skipped over in case of sucession.

That act includes provisions for cases when a given person in the line of succession fails to qualify to act as President. It just skips to the next person in succession.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

If they really want the Left to go crazy have some people suggest Alex Jones, Joe Rogan, or Tucker Carlson for Speaker.
