Pretty simple why it's flaring up again. It's another attempt to overthrow Assad.

In one of Gaddafi's many awesome speeches at the Arab League Summit in Damascus (2008ish), here he is protesting the assassination/extrajudicial killing of Saddam Hussein.
Assad and others are laughing, because Gaddafi is joking about the absurdity of how they're all just letting it happen without question.
I always think about this speech when I see the $#@!storm they've thrown at Assad post-Libya.

This whole thing is very strange. Obviously whatever deal was struck with whatever parties satisfied both Russia and Iran. It will be interesting once more information comes out.
Can't wait to see which puppet is going to be Assad's replacement. I'm sure he'll end up being worse.

I was initially skeptical, given the determination and abilities of the Syrian Army over the last 14 years, but since they've been attacked so hard by Israel especially over the last year, I think they seriously ran short of senior personnel, good fighters, and the ability to arm and train, and stay supplied with ammunition, since all their depots and routes, even their officers in academy have been brutally killed by Israel. It was too much to ask, of young fighters or old, tired soldiers, with depleted munitions.
Then, all the sectarian infighting, and inability to retake the whole country, and superior technology and funds, supported the factions via Israel, US, probably the UAE and Qatar, etc. The money is obscene, they are huge on cryptocurrencies and US funds in slush form that were sent to Ukraine on paper, but really end up arming and paying mercenary armies in Syria also. These groups had Starlink comms. over an area with no internet. Russia has its own concerns, only expected to increase and not only in Ukraine. Iran has suffered and now is in the Russian axis completely, they are going to agree with whatever Russia decides, and that's their best decision in a long time, with so many benefits to them.
Then, of course there's no more Hezbollah to help Syria, and the cause in Southern Lebanon has nothing more to prove. With Trump coming in, nothing awaits Hezbollah but total destruction if they insist on lobbing projectiles into Israel. They wouldn't last a week. The Gaza and West Bank have lost all hope concerning physical resistance. Any success they may have will have to be political and not fighting back. They can't fight anymore. Truth be told, October 7th was a horrible decision, and I also knew Nasrallah made the wrong choice by continuing to attack Israel in August when he could have said, ok, let's stay intact here and not keep fighting because there's no point in it. We're not going to be able to stop Israel in Gaza. Now, look at the fruit of his decision. Lebanon also is done for as a resistance country, like Syria. It is surrounded and has no command.
The cryptocurrency thing cannot be overlooked given the insane price at which these mathematical programs have elevated the codes. The widest ownership rate of these is in terrorist and terrorist-funding countries, and the Sheik Arab states, Turkey, Ukraine, they are huge owners of it. The bitcoin is a tool of the NWO. In the future and today, it is used to pay for all sorts of assimilative tactics. Putin knows that Iran, himself, China, they are all marked for ovethrow, plus others in their circle of friends. We're in a world war now. Whatever happens in Syria is of lesser consequence because the Palestinian resistance can no longer be militarily supported, it is lost, and in the event that total war descends on Israel and Damascus, it is better for the Alawites, Druze, and normal people to abandon the area, because there is a good chance it will be destroyed with Israel if there is a war against Iran and Russia.
So, the plans for a pipeline from the Sheik Arab lands through Syria and Turkey into Europe may proceed on paper, to replace the Nord Stream, but who knows if it will ever flow, or how soon more big war is coming to the region. It may be mere weeks away, or a couple of years, but Russia and Iran have to prepare. They may also have plans to safeguard Pakistan, which would be wise, and work harder on bringing India into their fold.
All you need to know is how quickly the White Helmets descended into Damascus and began with their propaganda reports from Sednaya Prison and the news of the IDF bombing Assad's WMD stockpiles to know who did this. Erdogan says he offered to help Assad reshape a new Syria that could be governed, perhaps it is true, and he was refused, because Assad is too proud not to govern ALL of HIS country. So, rather than waste more blood in a losing effort after 14 years of pain, Assad told the Syrian Army to stand down and go home. Also for the sake of civilians. He also told Israel that he woud NOT shut down the supply routes to Hezbollah, something he was asked to do, supposedly in exchange for an offer to stay in power. Assad is too proud and has convictions, he would rather leave than become a puppet. So that's what he did, and he saved lives by resigning. The new efforts will be political in Syria mostly, although some groups are going to have to be taken out, it will be minor. That's about all I have to say now. I see this development in the larger framework of objectives for the remaining independent states and their necessary defensive interests. It doesn't really matter to them if Israel gets bigger, or the Palestinians are moved around.

So, we're bombing in Syria and now it's admitted??
I suppose there's some Constitutional basis for this??

US forces strike Syria after Assad flees to Moscow
President Joe Biden said he ordered strikes in Syria, targeting ISIS. According to AP News, ousted Syrian Leader Bashar Assad is in Moscow and was given asylum. Fox News reporter Luca Tomlinson said in a statement on X, "Biden says U.S. forces have carried out “dozens” of airstrikes today in Syria against ISIS after Assad fled."

Of course. Airstrikes are not war...
Amazing how there was a surprise overthrow of a government, and the Biden/neocon/MIC Administration was instantly ready to bomb. The DOGE will find them to be very efficient, being able to identify enemies and targets, and then plan, supply and execute multiple strikes overnight.

Israel Striking Bases & Equipment Across Syria, Including Assad’s Chemical Weapons Sites
by Tyler Durden
Israeli warplanes in the last several hours have been conducting major airstrikes against facilities across Syria, just 48 hours after the Assad government's fall and the entrance of Al-Qaeda linked militant factions into Damascus.

Sensitive military facilities formerly belonging to the Syrian Army and now defunct Assad defense ministry have also been destroyed by Israeli attacks across the south of Syria on Monday.
A weapons warehouse near the Damascus international airport, which has ceased operations, has also been hit. Massive strikes have been reported on Latakia port as well, which giant fireballs lighting up the night sky.

Well, we're at war with "terrorists" for eternity.
And any state that "supports" terrorists. Also, women and children who might be near terrorists.
In fact, like racists, you're actually a terrorist yourself (sympathizer) if you aren't sufficiently anti-terrorist. Which, as it happens, means you might also be antisemitic.
If you cling to conspiracy theories fueled by Russian propaganda that the U.S. and Israel support and finance terrorism, you are supporting terrorism and you are antisemitic.

That's the case that would probably be made. And a perfectly valid justification in BAMN world. Collateral death and damage be damned. Besides, weapons for me, none for thee, is also a popular position. Is there any due process involved? A declaration of war or similar such out of fashion procedure?
