It's about initial numbers with current funding, not what the target is

“Homan has been telling some of the members that ‘Hey, if you want me to do all these things that you’re talking about, this costs money, and it’s not being done with the CR that’s in place now,” one GOP lawmaker told CNN, referring to the continuing budget resolution that simply extends the current level of DHS funding.

“President Trump will enlist every federal power and coordinate with state authorities to institute the largest deportation operation of illegal criminals, drug dealers, and human traffickers in American history while simultaneously lowering costs for families. The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail, like deporting migrant criminals and restoring our economic greatness. He will deliver,” Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the Trump-Vance transition team told CNN in a statement.

Another GOP lawmaker whose committee oversees the Department of Homeland Security budget told CNN that Homan is trying to work as fast as the confines of the system allow.

“His message is not code talk for, ‘Nothing is going to happen’ or, ‘We’re going to slow down’ or whatever. But it is a responsible policy approach to getting stuff done quickly, but also in the context of realistic evaluation of how to best get that done and fulfill the promises that the incoming administration has made,” GOP Rep. Mark Amodei told CNN.
“He says, ‘I understand the complications. Work through them. Make it happen. I want it done yesterday,’” Higgins said of Trump’s mindset.

Trump's first deportation flights with average of just 80 migrants cost up to $852,000 per trip

Using that cost estimate for military transport w/o aerial refueling, my back of the envelop estimates for deporting each million undocumented immigrants comes out to $10.65 billion. The flight range of a C-17 is roughly 2,400 nautical miles, so we may need to include the costs of air refueling if Mexico continues to refuse to allow C-17's to land and refuel on the way to destinations in Central and South America. Typically when you fly US military aircraft in a foreign nation's airspace, you're required to get diplomatic clearance from that nation - and it's not clear that Mexico is even allowing overflights at the moment, so they'd have to be flying outside that airspace (over international waters).
My choice of third person pronouns for myself is generally irrelevant. I'm not typically involved in the conversations that use them. It's other people referring to me in the third person, usually from a distance. I'm not a conversational partner in those exchanges. Those people could be referring to me as "That A$$hole" or "That Motherfukker" for all I know.

It's not about deporting them all. Most will self deport if you take amnesty, chain migration, and birthright citizenship completely off the table. Millions are counting on amnesty, and the ICE deportation campaign will wake them up to realize amnesty will never happen.

Combine that with a complete end to subsidies, handouts, lodging, food, clothing, cel phones and cash, and the unwholesome tide will become a flood, away from here.

I'm getting a vibe, and that's all it is, but I'm getting the sense that the people just aren't buying that $#@! anymore.

Now, granted, your average American is as unyielding as a lasagna noodle and has the attention span of a gnat.

    Inside the OODA Loop

Colombia has refused to accept U.S. deportation flights, stating that migrants must be treated with dignity and not as criminals. President Gustavo Petro emphasized that U.S. military aircraft carrying deported Colombians would not be allowed to land until proper protocols for respectful treatment are established.
President Donald Trump said on Sunday he will impose sweeping retaliatory measures on Colombia, including tariffs and sanctions, after the South American country turned away two U.S. military aircraft with migrants being deported as part of the new U.S. administration’s immigration crackdown. Trump’s punitive action appeared aimed at making an example of Colombia, the second case of a Latin American nation refusing U.S. military deportation flights. It was a demonstration of a more muscular U.S. foreign policy and showed a renewed willingness by Trump to use the might of the United States to force other countries to bend to his will. The retaliatory measures include imposing 25% tariffs on all Colombian goods coming into the United States, which will go up to 50% in one week; a travel ban and visa revocations on Colombian government officials; and emergency treasury, banking and financial sanctions. Trump said he would also direct enhanced border inspections of Colombian nationals and cargo.
BREAKING: CNN reports that Colombia is now offering the presidential plane to help repatriate people being deported from the US.
BREAKING: Trump administration has directed ICE officials to ramp up arrests to at least 1,200 to 1,500 per day because the president is disappointed with the results so far, per WaPo.

Remember this the next time people say something risibly stupid about the impossibility of repatriating foreigners. President Eisenhower deported 1,074,277 Mexicans in one year, which is nearly 3,000 per day, and that was with 1954 technology.

    It will continue to accelerate.

He did stress, however, that anyone who entered the United States illegally can and will be lawfully be deported. “So is this what we will see every single day, ending in what the president has promised is millions and millions being deported?” Homan was asked by ABC News host Martha Raddatz on Sunday. “Yes. But you can see the number steadily increased, the number of arrests nationwide as we open up the aperture. Right now it’s concentrating on public safety threats, national security threats. That’s a smaller population. So we’re going to do this on a priority basis as President Trump’s promised, but as that aperture opens, there will be more arrests nationwide,” Homan answered.

Obama deported over 5 million. Trump 2 million, Biden 4.5 million.

It like jobs. Per *month* you get say +100,000 jobs in the USA... but its actually minus 4 million and plus 4.1 million per month.

So the question is what will the average total number of illegals be at the end of Trumps 4 years?

If you *actually* wanted to remove illegal workers you would do two things:
    - End the war on drugs and stabilize South America
    - Prosecute employers

These are not the approaches taken, ergo that is not the goal.

Like all the trans stuff the goal is to intimidate ordinary Americans into carrying their papers at all times.

5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament

2 million probably which won't be the largest deportation in our history... Currently, the USA is harboring at least 50+ million illegal foreign nationals. This so-called mass deportation has to increase 20 times current rate of 1000 per day or it's a joke.

2nd hand report from today: valid driver's license is sufficient. When a raid occurs, show your drivers license and you are sent on your way.

Considering some of today's raids, one has to wonder if there isn't some vindictive compliance going on. In other words, ICE officials (possibly never-Trumpers) who are going overboard intentionally to generate leftist outrage and headlines.

I've read they are aiming for 1,000 deportations a day. Probably more than that come in each day. As I suspected it it was all talk. Trump is a businessman, he has to know you can't just deport all the illegals without crashing the economy.

What about going into schools and hospitals... Has there been an update on that?

When I heard that on the radio the other day I could envision schools and hospitals busting at the seems with illegals hiding from the coppers.
