Thread: Rubio as Trump's Secretary of State?

  1. #1

Question Rubio as Trump's Secretary of State?

That's the rumor I'm hearing here in Florida. Nothing official, just chatter from locals. Wondering who DeSantis will appoint as his replacement if that happens?

Maybe - I'd love that. But I'm thinking she'll get Veterans' Affairs.

Rule of Thumb. When Trump picks someone for a position, you should either

1 . have heard about them on this forum before as someone worth consideration of support

    or

2 . react to the name with...... Who?

Seriously. I'm about to send an email to his campaign saying something like "FFS stop talking to neocons - I'm a nobody who will take a position and do the job fine and even take half pay, just stop talking to neocons"
WHAT THE F*** DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN???

If it's Rubio or Grenell, I would choose Rubio.

Rubio has a stronger American mindset, and he's matured. He is more of his own man in recent years.
If Trump picks him it's because he's got the skills and can be trusted on a personal level.

It's not just chatter from locals. It's being reported everywhere.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

To restore Israel lobby's power over congress, of course. Thus the $100,000,000 generously donated bucks. And the neck tie. Don't forget the neck tie.

    FTFY.
Come on. You think Trump gives a FF what Hannity or the dopes on FN think? He's not running again.
If he picks Rubio and that's an IF, it will be because he can be trusted and has skills.

Let's lay off the negativity already. We're going to end up criticizing Trump, there is no doubt. But let that time arrive based on what happens.
Hopefully it doesn't happen a lot or in regards to very important matters.
I see people disappointed in Wiles because she was a pharma lobbyist. Who cares? Loyalty and skills. Trump is not running again.
He knows these ppl better than we do. The proof will be in the government and that's not coming until Jan. 20th 2025.

Let me know when Haley gets picked for VP, "everyone" said that's who it was going to be.

Marco isn't really a neocon. He just played the game to get in. It was the Bush years and he did what he had to do.

Now he has a chance to be himself. Just like he ditched the evangelicals.

    Red herring.

Now, what was that you were saying about the chances of Rubio being picked?

Maybe it's just me, but Rubio seems like a really random pick for the position. Has he ever expressed in the past that he'd love to be Secretary of State?

He has a lot of experience on the Senate Intel Com so from that perspective he is qualified. But otherwise, no, he is a war mongering neocon.
