Who'da thunk it. Newt made me smile.

One cannot minimize what has happened.
For the simple cost of inflating Trump's ego, we get:

    -The end of neo-conservatism
    -The Dems in complete disarray
    -The dismantling of the MSM
-The possible assurance of a free internet
-The rejection of mainstream woke culture
-The possibility of Liberty voices influencing the POTUS
    -Gutting the federal government
-Liberty issues becoming kitchen table talking points nationwide
    -Revenge against deep state actors.

Trump's got nothing to gain here other than his legacy.
All modern revolutions have ended in a reinforcement of the power of the State.

Trump has now killed the neocon grip on the Republican party as well as the Democrat party. These are good times. Let's see what is done with this opportunity.

After Iran, Gaza, China, Mexico, et al, are no longer deemed a threat?

Does that mean that the entire MIC can pack up, go home, take leisurely long, relaxing and extended vacations?

    Just sayin'.

Ther Germans thought they were experiencing a cleansing as well. Then it all went to hell, and they were the scape-goated evil 'enablers' of history.

Trumps weaknesses are many. He's going to be surrounded by horrible people who love to do horrible things.

People keep saying "God put him in this position". So what? God put Pharaoh into his position as well.

People are celebrating way too early. It's like the "Obama's gonna pay my rent" but for the snake-flag people.

Give it some time, and don't hate on the skeptics. Trump has a ways to go to climb out of the hole and actually prove he's going to not be what he's going to be told to be.

Hey, if Newt says so, well, I think you can take that to the bank.

After all, I remember what happened back in his Contract With America days.

Half of those things will never happen, but the other half, even if only partially, are still a huge step forward!

I don't think anyone fully understands the knock-on effects of Trump having a go at the MIC.

I live in the DC suburbs.
There's not much else here. Some IT companies, but that's it.
The Federal Government pays everyone's bills here.

If Elon shutters even a quarter of the stuff he's likely thinking about, this place is going to experience a holocaust. I have nothing to do with any of what goes on here and I personally stand the chance to lose $100,000 in home equity in the near future as everyone panics and leaves. Once the money spigot tightens and the jobs dry up there's going to be a housing glut here, prices are going to crash, people are going to go way underwater, and there's going to be another housing crisis at least local to DC.
On top of that, all the immigrants who can't get clearances but still clean houses and cut the grass for these upper-middle-class do-nothings are going to be out of work, and that means crime.

Unless Trump manages to root out and send home an appropriate number of them, that is. And then he's going to be targeting friends of mine.

The more of his promises he keeps, the more he has to work at making me personally not more miserable than I am now.
WHAT THE F*** DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN???

-The end of neo-conservatism; and the rise of a Technocratic Society

-The Dems in complete disarray; temporarily, per the plan, to "regain faith and trust" in government

-The dismantling of the MSM; word on the street is, that is the planned/desired goal, to bolster the rise of the technocratic society and platforms such as X which can/will emulate China's "WeChat"

-The possible assurance of a free internet; Pegasus, other, security/surveillance to sweep all data, good and bad, to populate databases for AI

-The rejection of mainstream woke culture; Ok?

-The possibility of Liberty voices influencing the POTUS; with the likes of "libertarian" Peter Thiel and Elon Musk :-O

-Gutting the federal government; Sure, wake me up before I'm 6 foot under

-Liberty issues becoming kitchen table talking points nationwide; That's up to us, not the fed.gov or some politician, and independent of who won/lost an "election"

-Revenge against deep state actors; Not doable, everybody still votes, while the 4th Industrial Revolution, Technocratic Society and Global/Regional Governance grow in power.

Well, all I can say to that is... since you're close enough, if you're ever in the area stop on by, there's a really great wing bar that our Liberty group goes to ;-)

I'm cautiously optimistic. Musk didn't have to reach out to Ron Paul, but he did. RFk Jr and Tulsi came to Trump and Darth Cheney ran to the Democrats-- I never thought something like that would happen. I would have been happy with going back to the 1980s or 1990s. The death of wokeness/Marxism alone was a win.

I'm happy Trump got elected, but now is not the time to be a fanboy. Now is the time to demand results.

Supposedly Marco Rubio is the front runner for Secretary of State.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.
