Whatever is being said/not said, it's the money honey, and policies:

    Agenda47: Rebuilding America’s Depleted Military

Donald J Trump: "I will provide record funding for our military just as I did four great years, if you think about what we were able to do, four great years of rebuilding our military, and we rebuilt it bigger and better and stronger than ever before!"

    co-opt?

The very phrase "neocon" is a term meant to point the finger at Jews who were not conservatives but finagled their way into the administrations
and parties of the United States, especially in the late '90s and early 00's. They lied and pushed us into wars and support for Israel against our own interests.

This is the true origin or the phrase NEO (new) conservatives, and also neoliberals because they cover both bases.

Trump has never dissassociated from or criticized the Israel Lobby and its tentacles.

You (plural sense) can justify a vote and support for Trump. I understand. But nobody has the right to alter history and misinform the ignorant.

Neocons were simply progressive Republicans in the Wilsonian tradition regarding foreign policy.

They did last time for sure. Trump seems to have smartened up a bit this time. We shall see what happens.

Trump and his handlers are brilliant. It's like a plant wanting to infiltrate a drug lord in another country. Know your enemy, stand in front of the mirror, practice your lines speaking their language, gain their trust, and then WHAM. They didn't get into their positions by luck or because they care about you.

I'm sure they'll find some way to slither their way in and affect policy no matter how small it may be.

In any way in order for them to stay relevant with their reckless, dangerous gambit on foreign agenda.
Not saying Trump is better on the middle east but those NeoCons are fools.

They aren't fools, they are committed and driven operatives, and regardless of who wins, they are a power that has to be dealt with,
if not by us, by other countries, and then we could get embroiled in a war again, probably worse than ever.

And it's not just about Israel and military war, either. Anyway, I sympathize with Trump voters who want him to have better staff,
but Trump doesn't reveal his intentions in foreign policy or military matters in any clear way. There is conflict between his elite supporters
and his general supporters, his megadonors and his popular support. He knows this and doesn't want to alienate either side, so he holds his
intentions very close to the vest, and just doesn't talk about it in any discernable manner.
