Hot damn, I was talking to my wife about this as well and how the Democratic party are THE party of the urban elite across the country now. Still mostly coastal but it has a huge presence in cities like Chicago, Denver, PHX, etc. now.
Rural people will continue to be looked down upon and they (the Dems) will probably try to destroy what's left of rural America after this.
Trump and this "new" GOP have dethroned two of their queens now.

I try not to be harsh on this stuff but I feel that. Why is he still even on tv giving his "heartfelt" dissertations, as a multi-millionaire script reader, on hopes and dreams of struggling people of all origins, backgrounds, etc? I don't think they will take the house. The last I heard the GOP only needs 20 seats and there were 60 in play. Only need 1/3 of them.
Yeah, remains to be seen. If the republicans get all 3 branches and the SCOTUS, things could get really, really interesting! Add to that, the corporate press is in their death thralls...
If that happens, here's a prediction: Some establishment GOP reps will loudly switch sides to throw the House back to the Dems after a few months.

The question for me is how will it affect spending. Every time either party gets control of all 3 branches the very first thing they do is sign a massive "wish list" spending bill. Will trump listen to guys like elon musk who warned that the debt is close to bankrupting us? I think we'll find out right away.
The View is not like Conservatives. They accept election results they don't like and move on.
