I would never begin to imagine Trump is fighting for freedom.

Trump fights for his own ego.

Any extent that Trump's fight for his own ego ends up aligning with the fight for freedom, is a superficial coincidence at best.
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

Can you imagine though, if even just 1/10 of the Trump-Humpers actually did that? That would be a test in itself to see how much the Trump-Humpers really do want less government = 0.

It has been a while since there's been any kind of organized tax protest. Whiskey Rebellion the most recent one? Hmm.

I don't want to be the only one getting shot in the head. But if there were say, 2% of the people who would actually do that, sign me up!!!

Except, the ones voting for Trump would never even consider that, due to they are still voting him even knowing how much he spent the last time. So why would they not want to pay taxes?

Maybe @Anti Federalist can take the OP Video challenge?

I wasn't aware that Trump had promised to either abolish taxes or decriminalize not paying taxes. If he does, he will have my support.

So I wouldn't expect him to pardon anybody for not paying taxes.

It would have even been funnier if Larken had mentioned "He was sent by God"

He just didn't encourage people to not file tax returns. He peddled a bogus theory (based o gross misrepresentations of the law) that said most people didn't have to that his marks relied on to their detriment. He's nothing but a con artist who dared the government to prosecute him (not the sharpest pencil in the box, is he?) and when it did he didn't rely on his own theory in his defense because he knew it was total B.S. His hubris brought him a 15 month sentence in the slammer.

Well at least he tried. More than I can say for most people.

I pay my taxes because I'm an obedient slave. Is that the smart thing to do? Yea, it's also the coward thing to do.

Sometimes being dumb is the bravest thing a person can do.

He’d probably have sided with Hamilton who eas calling for the hrshest penalties including summary execution. Big Brother is wise. Big Brother is good. We should all love Big Brother.

I mostly agree with Larken. At least Trump will most likely not be under Obama and Hillary doing their bidding like we know Kamala will.We all know that anyone who is elected POTUS has some kind of criminal intent. That is why Ron Paul did not get elected...

Most intriguing policy idea from the GOP meeting at the Capitol Hill Club this morning:

Trump briefly floated the concept of eliminating the income tax and replacing it with tariffs.

Not surprisingly, you missed the point. How does it help the "revolution" to peddle a snake-oil "you-don't-have-to-pay-income-tax" scheme, other than to prey on (and earn a little cash from) gullible suckers who rely on the B.S and end up having to pay back taxes, penalties, and interest? I guess they're just collateral damage, right?

Do they really claim to want less government? Maybe they work that opinion in somewhere at 10th place or so, after listing off all the reasons they support Trump that entail making the government bigger. But shrinking government is certainly not something that the Trumpers get emotional about or consider one of their essential beliefs.

Trump won the nomination in 2016 by openly distancing himself from every other Republican by being the candidate who, more than any of them, promised bigger and stronger government. And his followers ate that up and continue to yearn for it.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.
