The Democrats are always ranting about the rich having to pay their fair share. How about an act to ensure that representation is proportional to taxes paid, so that those who pay taxes get their fair share of representation.
My choice of third person pronouns for myself is generally irrelevant. I'm not typically involved in the conversations that use them. It's other people referring to me in the third person, usually from a distance. I'm not a conversational partner in those exchanges. Those people could be referring to me as "That A$$hole" or "That Motherfukker" for all I know.

Dr. Rand Paul Celebrates Constitution Day with the No Taxation Without Representation Act

Washington, D.C. – On this Constitution Day, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced the No Taxation Without Representation Act, reaffirming the fundamental principles enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. Constitution Day marks the anniversary of the signing of this foundational document on September 17, 1787, when the Founding Fathers established a government rooted in individual liberty, limited power, and the protection of the people’s rights.

“The rallying cry of ‘no taxation without representation’ wasn’t just a protest of the past—it is a core principle of American governance,” said Dr. Paul. “Our Constitution was designed to prevent any branch from overstepping its bounds. Unchecked executive actions enacting tariffs tax our citizens, threaten our economy, raise prices for everyday goods, and erode the system of checks and balances that our founders so carefully crafted.”

About the No Taxation Without Representation Act

The No Taxation Without Representation Act seeks to curb the President’s ability to tax Americans by implementing tariffs without Congressional approval. The bill strengthens our system of checks and balances by requiring Congressional consent for any tariffs that significantly impact American businesses and consumers. By restoring the role of Congress in the taxation process, the bill ensures greater accountability, transparency, and long-term economic stability.

    Key Provisions:

    Congress Must Approve:

The President can only add new taxes on imports if:
    • The President explains why the tax is necessary and sends a proposal to Congress
    • Congress passes the new tax into law

    Applicable Laws:

This requirement applies to taxes imposed under several trade laws, such as:
    • The Tariff Act of 1930
    • The Trade Expansion Act of 1962
    • The Trading with the Enemy Act
    • The International Emergency Economic Powers
    • Laws enacted to implement trade agreements involving the U.S.
    • Any other U.S. customs and trade laws and trade agreements

    Embargoes Exempt:

The No Taxation Without Representation Act doesn’t affect situations where the U.S. embargoes all goods or certain types of goods from a specific country from entering the country.
