But by the same token, I also think the "neocon" accusations & dismissals are (as yet) unwarranted.

And even if she did endorse interventionism in the particular case of Israel, that wouldn't necessarily make her a "neocon" - just an ad hoc interventionist, which is bad enough, without having to exaggerate it into something even worse (while simultaneously degrading the concept of "neo-conservative" as a useful distinction).

Every "neocon" is an interventionist - but not every interventionist is a "neocon".

That’s all true. The bit about Israel being a democracy is where her reasoning may betray neoconservatism. But it’s also such a cliche that everyone uses whenever they say they support Israel that she could have said that without any real thought about why that should matter.

A - She is suffering from the same conditioning as most of America with regard to Iran and Israel.

B - She fully understands the situation, but wants to win an election in America.

C - She is a hardcore, dyed in the wool neoconservative, lying about everything she says, except for Israel and Iran.


If I had to guess about Maggie, her Democrat opponent, it would be option C. Lily could be A or B, or a little of both.

That report says the latest poll, taken before Lily eviscerated Goodlander in that debate had Lily down only 8 points with a campaign that never aired a single TV ad.

That's not how Daniel's tweet reads to me. It's totally fine to have a policy disagreement. What you do about it - how you handle it - says a lot about you. In this case, while Lily is campaigning against the wife of U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Daniel McAdams sees fit to attack Lily with with a label that does not truly fit (she does not subscribe to the neocon agenda with Ukraine for example). It's dumb and misguided. If he truly wanted to "educate", there are way better ways to handle it. If he were truly concerned about championing the Liberty movement, he should be supporting a candidate that is damn good (there are no perfect unicorns any more) instead of trying to tear her down on the eve of the election.

I'm not sure why you would lump an individual's post (McAdams) with the Mises Caucus.

I thought they were parroting McAdam's late in the game attempt to throw shade when I posted my initial critique. The MC tweets aren't so bad given full context.
