The same team of visionary leaders who organized and rose up to send the strong message of “We will not comply” are raising voices once again to protest the ongoing dismantling and destruction of Western values across the globe.

On Sunday, September 29th we will come together on the sacred grounds between the WWII Memorial and the Washington Monument to rally again and say with one voice:

“We will NOT COMPLY with tyranny! We will RESCUE THE REPUBLIC!”



OVERVIEW

This is our moment to defend and celebrate the values and principles that have made America and the West the freest, fairest and most productive society the world has ever known. At its heart the West is an agreement to distribute opportunity as widely as possible, and to allow the market to reward those who produce wealth from which we collectively benefit. Our civilization today is in grave danger and every single principle on which the West is based is under simultaneous threat. This moment demands radical change and requires liberals, conservatives, and independents of every color and creed to unify to rescue the West.

These are OK

– The consent of the governed being the sole basis for governmental legitimacy

BOO HISS. The whole notion of free people being governed is repugnant to the very idea of liberty.

The proper idea here is the governance of those who fail to properly govern themselves. In its turn, proper self-governance has to be defined in order to establish a formal standard of measurement. It's not a difficult task, but it is absolutely necessary to successful self-governance.

As we can see, this is the common problem with all such endeavors. The very basics are not examined and these half-baked specifications stand to become law, which only perpetuates ancient shortcomings, leaving doors more widely ajar for the inevitable tyrants.

Nope. This is 100% pure CPUSA speak and I'd have nothing to do with it, save that it be edited to specify "under the law", which of course would make the entire thing redundant under the equal protections clause.

So most of this is acceptable save for the ill-considered items.

In my opinion, America is going NOWHERE until we get right the basics and formalize them correctly. Thus far, we as a people have been living in a house without a proper foundation. A wall sags and we bandage it up, the underlying structure remaining lousy for want of said foundation.

Without a well understood, complete, correct, and clear standard of interpersonal comportment, what I call the Principles of Proper Human Relations, we are a mere ad hoc hodgepodge of ferners, each attempting to impose their basic values on the others. This was less the case in eras past because nearly all immigrants were white Europeans who shared the basic values of the Christian ethic, with a little Jew thrown in for flavor and clogged arteries. The Africans were given no choice but to assimilate and it served them well in the longer terms, as it did the rest of us. But now, what with the left having taken over, the notion of assimilation is RAYcis, rant rant, whinge, shriek, squeal...

So now a standard must be asserted. It's nothing new, but it needs restatement and it must be made clear that anything less is unacceptable in a land that purports to be free. The same old half-baked but emotionally appealing hacks will lead to nothing but more of the same results. That $#@! needs to be brought to an end and the only way to do that is to replace it and the replacement has to be complete and correct in every manner. It's not complicated, but it takes minds that are clear and free of the noises that interfere with proper formulation. I have taken the time to at least make my best swag at doping it out. Simple is not always easy.

So this event will likely buy America nothing but more treading of water, may I prove mistaken.

The first words here refer to freeing Assange, which brought up a question in my mind.

In the context of the left's utter, seething rage at anything non-left, I can only wonder how they feel about the fact that we of the liberty contingent wish to see Assange left in peace, and I don't mean in an unmarked grave under a giant boulder on an abandoned mining road here in West Virginia.

Has anyone considered this? Any knowledge of how the left deals with what I can only assume is wild cognitive dissonance? I ask because Assange's cause would seem the brand of thing that would give lefties raging erections and the excuse to go out and burn down a couple villages in protest of the injustice of it all. That is, of course, my assumption on the matter. Am I mistaken? Has the left gone so far that they are now adopting what at one time would have been the right's position, that Assange should be executed by drawing and quartering?

If not the latter, then they are in Assange's corner, as are "we". I cannot for a moment imagine that such people would in any way be accepting of even that much common ground. Indeed, they seem to rage against the notion that we all have the breath of life in common, which I'm sure they'd like to see remedied.

Perhaps they feel we have engaged in more RAYcis cultural appropriation†.

Whatever the case, I'd like to hear any thoughts on the matter, if anyone has an opinion or knowledge.

We here in WV probably don't have to worry much about that sort of thing, given how well armed we are and intolerant of such misbehavior (though you never know, which is why I have 100K rounds on tap just in case we get caught up in some rather sideways action here as well), so probably we won't have to concern ourselves too much. But dung heaps like the black states will have their hands full, and so unless the good people there are prepared to give it all up on demand by the bad people, ugly non-equivocating things are going to have to happen, which perforce necessitates not hibernating.

But given the well entrenched habit of Americans to lapse into the complacency that our great and wealthy lifestyle affords and somehow seems to so efficaciously bid we embrace, I cannot blame you for being concerned.

Julian Assange’s brother Gabriel Shipton spoke at today’s ’Rage Against the War Machine’ rally in Washington DC, with remarks that included talking about the recent conviction of his brother, the founder of Wikileaks

After years imprisoned in the United Kingdom while fighting extradition to the United States, Julian Assange reached a plea deal in June of this year, which entailed pleading guilty to conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defense information. As part of the deal, the DOJ sought a sentence of 62 months, the amount of time Assange spent in British prison. Assange was released from prison in the U.K. to travel to the U.S territory of Saipan for a court proceeding. The plea, accepted by a judge at the Saipan federal territorial courthouse of the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, allowed Assange to travel to his native Australia immediately following the court proceeding

Speaking about the conviction, Shipton stated “The conviction under the Espionage Act goes directly in the face of the First Amendment in this country, and opens up a perilous pathway for the DOJ to prosecute journalists and publishers who have the courage to tell the truth about war”
