Thread: Rand waiting on Trump to support liberty issues and candidates more

  1. #31
Trump is a neocon in drag.

There is no meaningful benefit from doing more than lip service in working with him.

Not unless something else had already made them independently decide to support him.
I don't think they would agree to some deal in order to announce their support.

I seem to recall Rand stating during primary time, that he was waiting to hear certain things from Trump before he was willing to endorse. I don't think it ever happened.

Question Why hasn't Rand endorsed Trump this time?

"I think that it’s important that if he wants to get my vote and my support and wants me to be more active in this, that he’s going to have to be more vocal on things like the lockdowns that I opposed, like the civil liberties abuses that I opposed, like the debt, which frankly, has been bad under Republicans and Democrats, so I’m looking for a little bit more before I make a final decision" - Rand Paul

Ron would never endorse Trump under any circumstances. Rand already did so in 2016 and 2020 and will once again in 2024.

What if the deal was Trump would allow Ron to end the FED?

That would be great. But what's the point of bringing up imaginary what if scenarios like that? We could ask the same hypothetical question about Harris.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

My gut feeling would be not to believe that, so no endorsement. And I think it would have to be more than just a statement in order for Ron Paul to believe it - it would have to be a long concise plan going through the steps of how it would be carried out and a list of names telling us who would be hired to make it happen and how committed they are to ending the Fed. I don't expect Trump to do that.

Why Rand is not as enthusiastic about Trump:

Something tells me he's going to end up endorsing him anyway.
