“It is clear that this is not the work of a single individual… she was gangraped," doctor Subarna Goswami, was quoted as saying by the IE. Goswami was with the family of the victim when they saw the post mortem report.

Police sources told India Today that the doctor was pushed to the wall and her nose and mouth were clamped to prevent her from raising an alarm. Scratch marks on the victim’s face were from the nails of the accused, they said.
