I think the convention probably would have been delayed. I'd like to think DeSantis would have prevailed, but admit Haley is a possibility. For all we know one of Trump's sons could have rode the sympathy wave and made a run at it.
You can bet your bottom dollar that Brandon would have capitalized on it by rolling out an executive gun grab of some kind.

I think that the other fallout may have been an escalation in tension between individuals or groups of individuals.
