The "task force" is out. I am not familiar with any of the names except for Moskowitz, who is an annoying little leftist propaganda spewing douchebag. I would have to assume that this is a fully establishment group.

House unveils member list for Secret Service task force
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) announced the members tapped to serve on the bipartisan task force set to investigate the attempted assassination of former President Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month.
Why it matters: The task force will have jurisdiction of the investigation going forward, after multiple House committees launched individual probes after Trump was shot on July 13.
Johnson selected Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.), who was in attendance at the rally, to serve its chair, and Reps. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), Dave Joyce (R-Ohio), Laurel Lee (R-Fla.), Michael Waltz (R-Fla.), Clay Higgins (R-La.) and Pat Fallon (R-Texas) to sit on the panel.
Jeffries appointed Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) to serve as ranking member, with Reps. Lou Correa (D-Calif.), Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.), Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.), Glenn Ivey (D-Md.) and Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) set to be on the committee.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) opened the hearing into the Trump assassination attempt Tuesday by targeting “easy access to AR-15 rifles.”
Durbin began his comments by talking about movies and books depicting “the international assassin with sophisticated technology, elaborate plans, [and] well honed skills, [who] sets out to kill a leading political figure in the United States.”
He quickly shifted gears to state that reality is quite different. In other words, the actual would-be alleged assassin was “a 20-year-old, introverted college student” who “outsmarted one of the most sophisticated American law enforcement agencies in history.”
Durbin segued, saying, “There is more to this story and other aspects we’ve got to consider as well.”
He then targeted America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15. “We cannot lose sight of the factor that contributed to the violence on July 13 — widespread, easy access to AR-15 military-style rifles.”
Durbin continued, “While we rely on the Secret Service to protect elected officials, we must acknowledge the unique challenges they face in light of the proliferation of ‘weapons of war’ on our streets.”
He then zeroed in on Pennsylvania gun laws, noting, “Pennsylvania, like many states, allows individuals to openly carry a loaded rifle without a permit. To make matters worse, ‘assault rifles’ can easily be purchased from unlicensed dealers without a background check because of dangerous loopholes in our gun laws.”
Durbin did not mention that the gun used in the Trump assassination was legally purchased, which means more point-of-sale background checks would not have hindered the shooting in the least.
Moreover, Durbin pointed out that AR-15-style rifles were used in Newtown (December 14, 2012), Uvalde (May 24, 2022), and Las Vegas (October 1, 2017). However, he did not point out that the AR-15 used in Newtown was stolen, and the guns used in Uvalde and Las Vegas were legally purchased. Again, no additional point-of-sale background check would have made a difference.

The 3 attendees were injured when they were jostled by the crowd over-reacting to a noise and Trump was struck by a piece of "shrapnel" evidently caused when a rock accidentally struck the podium. It is believed the rock was dropped by a bird or something. Also the young man who was allegedly shot by the Secret Service actually succumbed from heat stroke, due to his exposure on the roof, where he had crawled to get a better view. Meanwhile, it was DOCTOR Jill Biden who was actually in danger, which is why the local (Pittsburgh) Secret Service Office felt compelled to send her 4 times as many agents as they had sent to the Trump campaign. All of this is absolutely true. Don't believe anything else because it would be racist to do so.

The government wants to spy on 360 million Americans so they can profile them in order to identify if they are a threat or not. They seem to think that would be a good use of resources. Basically they want to monitor peoples postings and what they do so they can figure out if you might be a threat.
Meanwhile that same government cannot handle a crowd at a venue by figuring out how to keep a former president and current nominee safe. They cannot figure out that monitoring the high ground and outer perimeter is a necessity.
Any person that gets fired will get rehired or collect a big settlement once the dust settles.
Firing people in the private sector that are corrupt or cause harm is not enough punishment. They still get charged with crimes.
In the right moment, I would not put it past a power hungry DA to prosecute Donald Trump for the death of the slain and harm done to those that were hurt. Some DA could argue that it is Trumps fault they were injured because they were attending his rally. I am sure a NY DA, Judge, and Jury would have no problem finding him guilty of involuntary manslaughter or something.
Got to be honest with you, it sure seems like Trump is just going along with whatever narrative the government
wants to present about this. He appears totally unconcerned about all the questions we've asked.
