I doubt this. That's a heck of a walk from Home Depot to AGR. And the roads were flooded with people walking to the event. The Sheetz seems possible, but he still would have attracted attention. There are lots of places he could have stashed his gear, though, near AGR.

There is simply no way the advanced team doesn't view this as a threat. There are dumpsters to hide things, pallets laying around to climb up, it's a very low (almost no slope) roof, and it has a perfect angle to the stage with some tree cover (there were leaves on the trees on Saturday). Let's say they checked the dumpsters, removed the pallets and other materials, and scanned all the vehicles, they still would have had their men on that roof and in the parking lot.

I don't know... That was a pretty good shot if Trump didn't turn his head at the last second. You could argue he should have gone body first, but at that range and with a scope, he probably thought it was a sure thing. The follow-up shots were kinda scattered, but once you miss, it takes a beat to refocus.
