Pretty sure it was the shooter. Those bullets that whizzed by Trump hit people. Killed Corey and injured 2 others (still not sure who).
FWIW, I'm learning that I have lots of mutual friends with Corey (not surprising for a small town and he's just a few years younger than me.) Everyone is sharing their memories of him.

No. At least not within the perimeter of the Farm Show grounds. They screened everyone. Now, outside the gates, I'm sure there were plenty, but what are you gonna do? Start picking off dudes with sniper rifles on roofs??! That's a good way to end up in federal prison for life.
There were lots of people hanging out at parties at all the houses in the area, too. I talked with several people who said they were at so-and-so's house because of the heat and the crowds. I have a cousin that lives in Meridian (near the back gate of the farm show) who told me the helicopters and FBI were out all night. The FBI parked in her driveway and ordered her back inside to let the bomb squad do their work.

Is there any video of him actually being shot? I keep seeing it said that he was shot but coming up empty on actual evidence of it. Not sure why people still insist on blindly believing whatever the media says these days....

Dude, shut the hell up. He lived in Buffalo Twp and worked in East Butler at JSP. I didn't know him, but we have mutual friends. His family is all shook up and they've been posting about him. There's video and testimonials about him getting shot and being dragged out. Around there, there are very few full-time paid firefighters, but LOTS of volunteers.

But it does matter, if the locals had it covered but were ordered to LIHOP. And people call all manner of law enforcement "police", though it's equally true that any number of agencies put "POLICE" on the backs of their uniforms, too.
