    Austin Tea Party... HUGE Success

I'm posting this here, too, seeing as how there are about 1,000 viewers in this forum.

I just got back from the Tea Party in Austin, TX about an hour ago. It was AWESOME, and God really pulled through with the weather - not a cloud in the sky.

The lowest number of people that could have been there was 500 (and that was at the very beginning)... our Meetup organizer just sent out an email saying that one of the cops that was with us specializes in crowd control, and according to him, we had about 1,000 people by the time we made it to the lake for our tea party!!

We marched from the Texas Capitol down to Austin's Town Lake (now it's called Lady Bird Lake), and threw our boxes into the lake. We picked them up, of course. :-)

It was just incredible. I hope all the other tea parties were a hit, too! Ours was complete with a mini-blimp replica. haha

    Here are some pictures...

    Money Bombs aren't everything.

Continue to talk to people. Attend Rallies. Put up signs. Organize with the meet up groups. Vote in the polls. Email the media.

A one on one conversation is more persuasive then a television ad.

Yep, there were lots that haven't donated yet.

I talked to a couple that had just walked up to the party and wanted to know how to donate to RP.

let it be remembered that never again in the future of political campaigns will a candidate receive the same support, enthusiasm and donations UNLESS the message is about liberty, freedom, peace, and the constituion. accept no imitations

Yeah, we had people dressed in George W. and Hillary masks because they created the policies we were dumping into the lake. They were frantically trying to save the boxes from being tossed overboard. GW was having a fit as they threw the "Iran War" box off the boat.

The 8-yr girl in the back of the boat was holding the box marked "National Debt" and she was in handcuffs and chains. When she was freed by the Ron Paul revolutionaries, she pitched that box into the lake herself.

All in all, a great event and fun celebration and tribute to the efforts of everyone who gave so much today.
