I got a really nice tax cut. Even then they had to fight through reconciliation process to get it through the Senate. Thank you, Trump! There are many other accomplishments, but you probably don't care for me to list it out.

Too bad spending wasn't cut to match. People might be able to afford groceries if they hadn't printed money instead. But you probably don't care to think about that.

Gee, I wonder where that eight trillion dollar deficit came from...? Caught up to us, didn't it?

    Duh.
The RINOs were an integral part of the veto proof majorities that we have to get rid of.

And yet Trump did wheel and deal to get many conservative priorities done, you pretending otherwise won't change that.

We can trust Republicans fix everything, and if they don't, it's because Republicans aren't all Republicans, but we're better off voting for "Republicans" anyway. They tell prettier lies.

Yeah, I've heard. I just don't know in what parallel universe that prevents us from getting into this mess.

Like enriching the banks (especially the ones who own the Fed and have a license to print money) and the MIC (did anyone ask for a sixth branch of the military?)...

So, yeah, Trump seems to have made it possible for a completely insufficient number of Republicans to vote no as it passed by. Er, like, yay?
Yes it violated the Hastert Rule. It's not the first time this Speaker has done that, either.

I've heard otherwise. The term unprecedented is being used. Don't know if that refers to the violation of Hastert or the way he completely betrayed the committee members of his own party.

Hope he just put it in the bank. It's worth half as much now, and more than half the printing that caused it was Trump's.

Rand, Cruz, Lee, Massie, Amash. They all voted yes to pass the tax cut and jobs act. They would continue to call it a good thing today and will vote to make the tax cuts permanent next year before they expire, provided Biden is voted out. I'm more in line with the political advocates of these forums than ya'll are. All of them will endorse Trump in the general election against Biden. Looking forward to when ya'll cry and bitch about it.

Whatever whatever… I go by the overall record, not just a select one or two which becomes negated by all of the horrendous damage the others caused, and certainly not just because person x happens to endorse somebody for the sake of party unity.

I do not condone or support Fascism. Period.

Except they don’t whine. They would happily do it the next time too, as has been done election after election, as this country tanks like it has been doing before their very eyes.

You go by cherry picking his record and by leftist lying talking points.
Trump was more good than bad and moved us in the right direction.

Some one really should do something to help those poor, unfortunate individuals among us who, through no fault of their own if course, have had their lips permanently grafted to Trump’s ass. It must be a sore trial to have to navigate life in that condition.

And that inflation is not just affecting the value of money he has been saving, but if he's like most people, his current salary as well, which hasn't increased on pace with inflation.

There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

I have never said one word against voting for or signing that bill. But don't fool yourself into thinking that government spending isn't the real metric that matters. When the government spends more, then one way or another, that comes from you and me. If it isn't from income taxes, then it's something else. Trump increased spending dramatically, and because of that you are poorer today than you would be otherwise.
