Rand Paul is the only one who will try to limit spending and hold Fauci to account. The rest are worthless

The Elon back and forth is awesome.... but I don't want Rand to do it... the things he would have to do to get there, and the things he would have to do to hold the position, are not things we want him to do.

In other words, it is nearly impossible to be in a position of legislative leadership without being willing to compromise one's principles (or not have any to begin with)

At which point will Americans realize that creating an unaccountable institution that is able to pass its liability on to tax-payers is immoral and attracts sociopaths?

Running and not winning is probably worse than not seeking the position in the first place.

Not always true. Sometimes running can affect the outcome of the race. Sometimes running can allow one to build a list and fundraise. Sometimes running can give you immense power even if you don't get elected.
