South Carolina Presidential Primary Election Results: Trump wins

Republican voters in South Carolina voted to nominate former President Donald Trump, preferring him over former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley. The state has 50 delegates at stake. As a former governor of the state, Haley had hoped to parlay her success in twice winning elections there to propel her over Trump. But his popularity proved insurmountable.

Democrats turn out to 'stop Donald Trump'

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...tes-rcna139423

Two Democratic voters in Columbia told NBC News today that they voted for Haley in the Republican primary — partially to stop Trump.

“It’s important to me to keep Trump out of office again,” said Kelly Poindexter, adding: “Any Democrat should be out here.”

Another voter, Shelby King, told NBC News, “I usually vote Democratic, but today I voted for Nikki because I think she’s the best candidate. We’ve got to have somebody that’s inclusive and not restrictive.”

Asked whether it’s more important to her as a Democrat to re-elect Biden or prevent Trump for getting back in the White House, Poindexter said, “I think it’s more important right now to stop Donald Trump.”

Asked about the South Carolinians voting for Trump in today’s primary, King said, “I don’t understand it.”

It's to be expected. I'm waiting to see how it plays out in Georgia. We also have open primaries and I'm anticipating a lot of cross-over democrats. Hopefully Nikki drops out before then.

The big race in California is for Senator. The disgusting POS Adam Schiff is the frontrunner. California is open primary, so the top two go to the general. Democrats are running ads to push the lesser known Republican to split the Republican vote so that the general election will be between two Democrats.

She's being kept in to keep Republicans lined up behind Trump. Why do you think they, one, won't let anyone primary the incompetent, senile molester, and two, are using the MSM to advertise (for the first time in MSM history) that people are voting in the primaries of the party they don't favor just to jack with the process?

She is staying in for the same reason she does everything else. She's being paid to.

Well that's more to do with that goofy ranked-choice voting system you guys have.

Actually, ranked choice would be better. That way you could make a second choice. We don't have ranked choice. Instead, it is literally the top two from the primary go to the general. Quite often, the general election is only two Democrats, no other choices. It's a way to lock up the state for the Democrats. You can "protest" vote in the primary (Libertarian for example), but not the general.

It's important to note that SC has an open primary so her vote share would be lots of Democraps, along with the neocons.
My two daughters and I were gang-raped by some of the Newcomers. It landed us in the hospital for 3 weeks as several bones were broken. I don't blame them, it was a sexual emergency and I wasn't about to go all white privilege and deny them the release they needed, especially after being stuck in a hotel for months. I see the Newcomers as family now. They are on our side and will help us stop Trump. It is a small price to pay. Anything but Trump.

    Are you in CA?

Does this mean that a third party can't run in the general unless they finish in the top two the jungle primary?

Is your thinking that the reason for this is that so Biden runs against Trump with Trump losing?

The reason is because Biden's puppet masters have been working very hard to make the vast majority of the country hate him. Whatever the reason for that is (I theorize it's so we'll demand Trump be installed for life and elections be ended forever) they've obviously invested a lot in this psyop. Biden has a role in it--an important one.

And Democrats openly meddling in GOP primaries helps piss the latter off, killing two birds with one stone.

That is correct. Quite convenient for the Democrat Party, and also the Republican Party if they can come in second.

The only time you might have a third party candidate would be a race with only a single popular Democrat candidate, and the Republicans don't even bother to field a candidate.

That sounds kind of convoluted and I'm a conspiracy theorist. You actually think that Haley's handlers and Biden's handlers (Obama people) want Trump in the White House?

Trump will not be "installed for life." That is a leftist talking point if there ever was one.

If anything, we're closer to having Biden installed for life, as democrats do what they accuse their opponents of doing. Hint hint: They're running around telling everyone that Trump is going to end democracy.

Let's see if the hypocrisy holds true for this as well.

Hmm. I've never given this much thought. It seems fair enough, I guess, because anyone can run in the primaries and then you have you have to whittle it down to two get a clear majority in the general. At the same time, I'm not sure about it. Isn't this how a lot of European elections work with run-offs?

With ranked choice, is there just one election and no primaries?

You two seem to think the Republican and Democratic Parties are owned and operated by different people. Do you still think that about the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference, as well?

I know there's a uniparty but Trump isn't part of it. They hate his guts. I include Europeans and British establishment in that, too.

Sure they do. Carroll O'Connor had to be racist, too, or he couldn't have played Archie Bunker so convincingly.

Yawn. The man has had constant publicity since 2015. Constant. Unrelenting. Ten billion dollars worth of publicity is an underestimate. Did we learn nothing from He Who Must Not Be Named?

The first step is to stop assuming these people are idiots. The second is to stop assuming the psychotics have to care about the same things you do. Then try to stand in their shoes for fifteen seconds.

You want to stir up conflict and use that to eliminate the representative from of government. You can provide either side with the flavor of tyrant they want, in the end. So, do you run your game so the people with few guns win in the end, or so the people with many guns win?

    Be honest...

    @acptulsa

If Trump loses, or "loses" (with quotations, à la 2020), what happens to your theory?

And to answer your previous question, I think TPTB are going all in on the democrat party.

I do think there are some figureheads in the GOP who are still useful to their ambitions (McConnell, Graham, etc), but there's no easy replacement for them that won't be scrutinized by the grassroots. The Democratic party is, by comparison, much easier to control and get everyone to fall in line without thinking.

(hence the narrative about the GOP being full of chaos at the moment, and unfit to govern)

I expect him to "lose". That's what sets up the backlash. I don't know what makes anyone think I'm privy to all the details. But I remember, and do not forget:

I expect him to "lose" as well, but what becomes of your (and Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough, and Joy Reid's) theory to make him dictator for life?
