My experience has been different. A lot of people who voted for Trump seemed to like Ron Paul. There's a reason that Ron Paul ran as a Republican, and that reason is because Democratic Party voters would never support him. The fact that Ron Paul existed within the Republican Party for so long is evidence that you are mistaken.

Regarding your last point, while it is true that elected candidates almost never make good their promises, the occasional tossed bone and the favorable rhetoric is reason enough to oppose the insane, radical left. The Republican Party is trash, but most Republican/Trump voters seem to be normal people, whereas the left has become rabidly insane.

Just one failure to present the most popular liberal candidate for the presidency and that ass goes the way of the dodo.

Why do we lose? Because we're so invested in manning up and making a good, honest, forthright frontal attack we can't be bothered to notice their flank is wide $#@!ing open and begging for a sword.

    Are you kidding?
Every RINO always says we have to play to the center and moderate dems.

Because the DNC's flank is wide open and we could destroy that party once and for all?

    You heard RINOs say that?

    Care to post the vid?

I'm sure one of them did.
But it doesn't matter what excuse is used, the plea for us to continue to move the overton window to the left by giving the enemies of liberty some of what they want is exactly the same.
It won't destroy the Democrat party, it won't get hardly any of their voters, and it will turn the Republicans into a perfect clone of the Democrats instead of a party with a MAGA liberty wing.
Compromise and cooperation with the left is what neutered the Ron Paul movement and helped the RINOs suppress it with the aid of misguided conservatives.
But I'm sure you know all that.

I'm not. I think you were talking out of your ass as usual is a far more likely explanation.

    "That" being:

    1. Encourage the millions of Democrats saying, "Gee, this guy's senile, compromised, and guaranteed to lose, what do we do?" to vote outside the party.

    2. ?

    3. ?

    4. GOP becomes a more perfect clone if the Democrat Party than it already is.

No, I don't already know that. You don't know that. Nobody knows that. Nobody knows how to fill in the blanks so that comes to that.
