My "Other" vote: Stalin, Mao, Lenin, Marx, Engels

Either of these would have Democrats jumping ship en masse for Trump. I don't even think Trump would need to hold a séance.

And once again FAIL shows its face as Pavlov's bell rings. We see played upon here, fear via the meaner's avarice, his will to blissful ignorance, and his shameful and self-defeating lassitude. Any tyrant who masters FAIL, masters the world.

On another note, NPR is now in full annual swing with so-called "Black History Month" with an endless parade of black guests whining and going off about how RAYcis everyrhing is for black people, how it's all whitey's fault, how noble and intelligent are ALL black people, and so on down the usual list of things to be moaned out to the world, NPR hosts faiithfully putting their "I love braak people" kneepads to hard use. Pavlov's bell is ringing wildly in those hallowed halls. I won't even go into to vast array of lies they're continuing to peddle about "climate change".

If he does go with Noem, that will reveal that he still feels the need to pander to a conservative base that he disdains. Noem went against him on COVID lockdowns, which was his his most impactful accomplishment in his first term.

The question will be, how much will he continue to care about their support once he gets elected and no longer needs their support to win any future elections.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

Former President Trump on Sunday further fueled speculation over his pick for a 2024 running mate, dropping the names of Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) when asked about whom he is favoring.

Trump, in an interview with Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures” anchor Maria Bartiromo, was asked when he will announce his pick for vice president, to which he said, “Not for a while. We have so many great people in the Republican Party, but not for a while.”

Bartiromo further pressed the former president on how he is picking his running mate.

“Always it’s got to be one thing,” Trump said. “It’s got to be who would [be] able to be a good president. I mean, you always have to think that because you know, a civil emergency … things happen right? No matter who you are, things happen. It’s got to be number one. Who’s your enemy.”

He further stated that there is “a lot of good people,” to which Bartiromo asked if Trump has not decided who it is.

“I haven’t, and there’s no reason,” Trump responded.

He added he speaks to “everybody” and revealed he recently called Scott, who suspended his White House bid last year then threw his full support behind Trump.

“I called him and I said, ‘You are [a] much better candidate … for me, than you were for yourself,'” he said. “When I watched Tim, he was fine, he was good, but he was very low-key. I watched him in the last week, defending me, and sticking up for me and fighting for me.”

Trump later said Noem has “been incredible fighting” for him, pointing to her comments where she said she would never run against him “because [she] can’t beat him.”

When will you learn not to post quotes that prove I'm right?

Nowhere does he say it will be either one.
He says he hasn't decided and then lays out bait for people who jump to conclusions by praising some allies.
Even if that meant those two were under consideration (it doesn't, he said he talks to everybody, he didn't say he talked to them about being VP and specifies that it doesn't mean anything and no inference should be taken) he makes it clear that there are a lot of people it still could be.

Try watching the video to hear it from Trump's own mouth instead of reading a left leaning MSM article that still supports me and not you even if important information was omitted by them or by you.

The fact that Thomas Massie supported Ron DeSantis tells me he might be okay.

Of the rest on that short list, I feel Ramswamy and Donalds haven't been around long enough. As for Gabbard, Noem and Scott - I have seen things that cause me to have doubts about their understanding of liberty, especially Tim Scott.

Of course, Rand Paul or Thomas Massie were always preferable, but too much to hope for.

Trump: DeSantis, Ramaswamy, Noem, Gabbard & Scott on "short list" for VP

Donald Trump says he's considering RON DESANTIS, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kristi Noem and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as potential VP picks
    - Trump confirmed DeSantis, Ramaswamy and Tim Scott are among ex-opponents considered as everyone wonders what he'll want in a VP
    - South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard are on his list

    {Stephen M. Lepore | 20 February 2024}

Former President Donald Trump has confirmed that six Republicans are on his shortlist for a potential running mate and vice president at a town hall on Monday.

In his first hint at who could be his Vice President if he wins the election in November, Trump's list included two former opponents and an ex-Democrat.

Trump, 77, confirmed Florida Governor and one-time foil Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina are all among the ex-rivals being considered.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds, and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard are on his shortlist.

A DailyMail.com poll in New Hampshire found Ramasmway is the top choice to be running mate, followed by Scott in second and Tucker Carlson and Ben Carson in joint third.

'All of those people are good. They're all solid,' Trump told Laura Ingraham Monday night.

Trump said, however, that deciding on a running mate might not be the biggest decision of his campaign.

'The one thing that always surprises me is that the VP choice always has no impact,' he said.

Trump noted that 2008 Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin did have an enormous impact, but faced attacks unlike anyone ever had before.

He then attempted to make his case for what qualities he felt his running mate should bring to the ticket.

'It's a very important position. You would like to get somebody who could help you from the voters' standpoint,' Trump said - but noted he wanted someone with 'common sense.'

DeSantis became a target of Trump's notorious mockery during the primary, though the Florida governor dropped out and endorsed him.

Gabbard, who served several terms in the House of Representatives and ran for president in 2020 as a Democrat, has since left the party and become a regular in conservative media.

Scott and Ramaswamy both dropped out of the race after the early contests to endorse Trump.

Noem and Donalds have both been staunch allies of the president and were early endorsers in 2024.

In January, DailyMail.com broke down what Trump is looking for in a candidate and who are the top contenders.

The key choice facing Trump will be whether he wants to elevate total loyalty, prowess on the stump, or an ability to appeal to independents and moderates in a closely-divided election.

His prior vice president, Mike Pence, isn't even in the mix, after Trump blamed him for lacking 'courage' on January 6 and his own presidential campaign flamed out.

Trump goosed the gossip when he said at a Fox News town hall in Iowa this month that 'I know who it's going to be,' although comments from aides at the time suggested Trump may have jumped the gun a bit. Now, just a few weeks later, informal advisors are passing on names.

'I think it would be good for a vice presidential pick to check several boxes: Who helps solidify the base? Who can go into suburban areas and expand support by speaking to these moms in kind compassionate ways?' Hogan Gidley, a former Trump White House press aide who still consults with the former president told DailyMail.com.

'Who can take the America first policies that so many people a vast major of people in his country support and not just implement, but continue to grow those out over not the next four years but the next 12?

'As an added benefit, it would be nice if that person could talk to the press, understand Trump world, understood the president himself, was a fighter, was unflappable.'

Advisors are already suggesting names to former President Donald Trump on potential running mates, as he contends with Nikki Haley's continued challenge following his victories in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Trump must decide whether to prioritize MAGA loyalty or look to expand his appeal on the margins while leading Joe Biden in polls.

Other names DailyMail.com suggested could be candidates: Representative Elise Stefanik of New York, still-running ex-UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, Kari Lake, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Carson and Carlson.

Sen. J.D. Vance, whose 'Hillbilly Eligy' helped explain the Trump phenomenon, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were also named.

Vivek, obviously, is the best ideologically and would be able to rip anyone in the media or on a debate stage. Although he may be too goddam sharp, potential to be maniacal.

With the exception of DeSantis and Gabbard, I literally havent heard of the others, lol.

I still dont know who Pence is.

iirc, the South Dakota broad was anti-lockdowns?

Trump won FL twice, not like he needs DeSantis to win that state.

I dont think Tulsi will get him a single Lefty vote, they hate her anti-Neocon ass.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is a mixed bag. She was the best governor during Covid, standing against mandates and shutdowns. On the other hand, she has shown signs of being a typical Israel obsessed politician, like so many others, including Tim Scott and Byron Donalds.

As a woman, she would fill a certain diversity slot, but at the same time, as an attractive woman, she would receive double the scorn from women on the left, and maybe even on the right. Never underestimate basic human motivations like jealousy. Tulsi may face the same problem, although not to the same extent, as Tulsi has that tomboy vibe.

They'd definitely get the Palin treatment. The only thing leftist hags hate more than men are attractive women.

But at some point, you really can't give a $#@! about how the left will react - they're gonna do what they do anyway. I'm still holding out hope for Kid Rock!
